The guy who's first in line for A. Body in our shell has shitty luck, we got a drop from Aspid last week but it was the first time in a while where he had irl shit to do so I got it instead (yay!... now I need RDM relic hat ;; ), then we got this one today and he was afk. Some people may have put a lot of time into Dynamis to get their hat but Dynamis isn't the end-all/be-all of gear for RDMs and if they can't take the time to gear up outside of Dynamis then no, they dont deserve a hat. I have no qualms about saying so, either. Anyone can go to Dynamis twice a week for two years to get a hat, that's not the only good thing a RDM can wear.

We're talking about underleveled subs, people who don't have even lolSpider Torque, full time Moldavite, and a bunch of other sub 50 equipment that really is in no way useful outside of perhaps a few select situations, but no, these people full time this shit. People who don't have a Max Convert Setup. Or a lolNuking Setup. Or even an Enfeebling Setup, or how about Max Stoneskin? MND? INT? Dark Magic for Chainstun? Etc. People who full time everything because they just want to be "middle of the road" because they think, "Jack of all trades, master of none" means they can gear up half-assed and no one will give a shit.

If you're a fucking gimp then I will definitely state that you don't deserve a hat, and every time I see a gimpy RDM walking around with one, I die a little more inside.

I do hate to be a bitch, but seriously, I'm fucking tired of it. I worked hard to get where I am and my RDM is nowhere near complete but it looks a hell of a lot better than some of the shits I see running around with D.Chap who dont' give a flying fuck how horribly gimp they truly are.

I agree with you to a point. You should obviously put some effort into your gear, but I think you're overdoing it unless you're Rdm only.

I have 6 jobs at 75 working on my 7th and there's no way I'm going to carry all that shit around.

Convert Setup: I rarely use Convert and when I do, my idle gear is fine (near 1:1 ratio)
lolNuking Setup: Waste of MP unless you solo. I don't.
Enfeebling Setup: Not perfect, but enough to get the job done. I prefer using a MND build.
Max Stoneskin: I don't solo.
Mnd: I agree with this one.
Int: I don't solo/nuke.
Dark Magic: Resists are very very few without any Dark Magic+ gear as long as your skill is capped.
Enhancing Magic: Based on the gear needed to get minimal results, I don't feel it's worth it.

P.S. I don't own lolSpider Torque or Enfeebling Torque. =p

Like many people with multiple jobs at 75, you're content with being mediocre. Some people do go a little overboard with gear swaps (and this is true of other jobs as well) but not even owning a spider torque is kind of sad. A basic Enhancing set isnt even that hard to get with af and a torque. I don't see what soloing has to do with maxing stoneskin... any event you're at where it's possible you could take damage a max stoneskin build is worth it, and if you've got a decent MND setup you should be at stoneskin cap without any effort at all anyways. Dark Magic/Nuking sets for me come from my BLM so I wont comment, as I probably wouldn't have them if I didn't have BLM leveled, but they're definitely useful. If all you use RDM for is as a merit monkey then I guess it doesn't matter, but for people who actually use their RDM for events (including dynamis...) a little more effort into gear would make a noticeable difference.
