Buckshot (and anyone else considering this reasoning), the reason he can't "make it up" is because it sets a bad precedent. If everyone is allowed to "make it up after" then more people would be willing to ninja items in the first place. You really need a zero tolerance, so that people realize their entire ffxi rep will be shit if they try this. And thus, their chances of doing anything even remotely approaching end-game is ruined.

The only way to "make it up"? He needs to sell everything of his he can, give all the money to the LS he stole from, and remake his character with a different name. And this time, act better.

Talk is cheap. If he feels badly enough to want to make it up to those he wronged, he needs to put his money where his mouth is. I don't think he's got it the guts for it, though. He'll whine, and make excuses, but never follow through on his desire to make it up to people. Pass this along to him next time you talk to him.

I'm not sure what I like more about your ls. The ninja lot policy, the fact that you mention that only a few members "snapped," or the way you YOURSELF say trusting in your OWN linkshell is pretty fail.
