Sounds like victim was killed really quickly; sad to say but everyone just getting off the bus was probably the best course of action to prevent anyone else getting hurt. Really really gruesome.

Based on just the information in the story, I get the feeling that the attacker has some sort of mental issue.

The guy was just sitting there, minding his own business, and he ends up getting stabbed. It didn't seem like the attacker was even interested in anyone else that was on that bus.

man that is seriously fucked up. there is no way in hell i'd be rallying against a crazy dude with a knife in his hand. like people said, from the way it sounds the guy probably died before anyone even really knew or realized what was going on. Considering how the news report is representing it the victim was probably dead very quickly (thankfully). Having bus passengers try to subdue the obviously very, VERY unstable attacker would have only served to injure or possibly kill other passengers. Who knows, if an attack on the perp had been staged he might have ended up murdering or gutting every single person on the bus instead of just focusing on the one single victim.
