So, I've got a bit of an issue installing the latest Flash upgrade on my work computer. My work station has a C: drive that is restricted to read-only access for employees. Internet Explorer (6 ugh, they won't let you upgrade to 7 or even Beta 8) is installed on the C: drive.
I have installed Firefox and some other work-related applications on my E: drive, which is a private, non-local server I had read/write access to.
When attempting to install the Flash upgrade, the installed detects Firefox on my E: drive no problem, but it also detects IE on my C: drive - this creates a problem. Because I do not have write access permission to the C: drive, the installer quits because it's attempting to upgrade IE's Flash on the write-protected drive. The installer won't just skip it and go for Firefox only on my E: drive, which in theory it shouldn't have any problem installing since I have full access to that drive.
Any suggestions on how I might be able to get the Flash installer to bypass installing it's upgrade on IE and just go straight for Firefox on my E: drive?
PS: The update .exe files is saved to my E: drive.
