You're talking to the wrong people, go talk to an attorney. Trying to file bankruptcy with "bob and pete's financial service" will be a huge fucking mistake. These counselors are selling you fallacies so they can try to make a quick buck off you and you'll probably still be fucked in the end. And you can say "I don't feel like going through a consolidation service", but you'll probably be required to, or at least required to seek credit counseling. If what you say is true about your income, you're probably fucked and will spend half of what your debt is in legal fees to successfully win, only to be fucked up for the next 10 years.

Well I've talked to 4-5 different financial counselor's and they said it still works that way in my state. They do seize things which are obviously bought with the debt/and or used with the credit spent. But since I have nothing to declare and my father has all my assets locked away in his trusts. I'm pretty much home free for 10 years on my credit.

As for my dad owning a huge company, I'm not going to run to daddy to help me out. I've never asked a dime from him and never will. At one point I thought of paying off the debt since I make more than enough to have it paid in a year or so. But why lol? The economy is as fucked up as ever, and new credit laws are popping up weekly.
