The charging cable for 360 wireless controller merely gives power to battery, the controller is still using wireless for sending data (probably the PS3 works the same). For the xbox controller there is a receiver for PC (which works with the wireless headset too), but you won't be able to get the triggers to work.
Could someone please post a guide on how to do this? I'm not a PC tech geek so I'm not fond with all this but I'm having issues and cant seem to configure the buttons and what not.
