For those of you who don't listen to white nationlist tween sensations Prussian Blue, you can read their wiki entry:
Prussian Blue
*Edit:* Felt the need to post with so many wooshes after Priran's stroke of genius.
BLU NM will be called Static Shaq. And they should rename King Zagan to President Zagan.
Or worse yet, they make the PUP NM into Marquis Shax. The problem is that Marquis Shax makes me think of Shaq. And noone wants an NM that is going to Kazzam all over their alliance.
Shaq Fu yo.
I couldn't help but wonder about this today, it was bugging me... would it really break the game if THF & DNC got Dual Wield job trait? NIN & /NIN still being the only way to get Utsusemi, would it really be bad for those other 2 jobs to get dual wield?
It makes no sense that a person using a dagger wouldn't naturally use 2. Granted this game and common sense don't often converge. But both THFs and DNCs should be coordinated enough to wield 2 weapons without inflicting wounds upon themselves. It would leave NIN with a lack of job traits uniquely their own.
Playing so many other games that have multiple classes utilize 2 weapons really makes me wonder wtf is SE's problem.
Kind of a minor thing to bitch about, IMO. There's never a time when those jobs would need something other than NIN sub.
That's the thing it would open up new possibilities THF/RNG THF/DNC DNC/THF more /thf and /dnc for other jobs that don't need the damage negation of Utsusemi but are addicted to dual wield like BLU WAR maybe RDM & RNG.
Lack of dual wield means dagger and 1 hand sword wielders either hold a shield that most likely has crap stats or just stick their other hand in their pocket or stick their thumb up their ass.
I've played WoW, Guild Wars, Age of Conan all allow multiple classes dual wield.
As we all know, the COR AF2 was based off this.

What benefits does /nin give other than dual wield? Shadows. And how often does a Thf or Dnc actually have hate? Pretty much never outside of pulling. Even dual wield alone is a pretty heavily overrated trait depending on the level, and as it is there's plenty of times when /nin is far from the optimal subjob for Thf or Dnc. So yes, there are plenty of times when those jobs would need something other than Nin sub.
It probably would make more sense for other jobs to have dual wield, especially when SE are saying how they want people to use more diverse subjobs.
AF2 giving that trait is very unlikely though.
I think throwing "Dual Wield" trait on a piece of relic would be a nice little slimly-possible surprise. This just simply allows for more stat-adjusting equipment to be worn other than shields. (although for DNC this would negate our elusive Airy Shield! (sp?)) BLU, drowning in craploads of different higher-level MP/Killer/STAT Kilij swords, I think this isn't toooooooo far-fetched... although it was originally intended at a joke. I have found most images shown for update notes to be at least somewhat accurate/appropriate. (cue scythe smn)
What else are they really good for?
DW is a damage increasing ability, so is zerk. I wrote more, but I'll sum it up by saying it sounds a lot like me as a MNK asking for an effective defense on a sub that actually helps my damage (madness, I know). Good THFs can function well in the current system, especially on (well, mostly due to) the many piercing weak mobs. I'm not going to say the job doesn't want for adjustment, but giving a job DW without /NIN in any capacity has the odd combination of pointless and unfair, in my mind. Kinda like giving Meditate to Ninja, or Spharai to PUP, or Repose to BLM, or Martial Arts VI to WAR...s'all I got.....
Oh wait, Shield Mastery to RDM, Dark Arts to DRK, Elemental Seal to PLD.
When I first read this new update it really put me in a good mood.
I'm happy they reduced the price of these things as much as now I'm wondering:
1) What kind of impact will this have on Limbus currency?
2) What kind of impact will this have on Dynamis currency?
3) Why the hell didn't they use different prices for Timeless Hourglass for normal Dynamis and CoP Dynamis? I mean paying 500k for a 1h trip to Tavnazia with 18 people just isn't the same as payin' 500k for Xarcabard... As much as now we'll be able to access Tavnazia with 500k instead than 1000k so I guess that's very good in the end.
It's just that meh, nobody ever does CoP dynamis, and there's a reason for that. Drop rate sucks, farming sucks, less people allowed, less time available for farming. I hope that, at least, they tried to "balance" CoP dynamis by putting a slightly higher drop rate compared to the normal Dyna one.
You get 2 hours in tav.
And I don't think the "Less people allowed" is really a factor considering you're lucky to see any LS's with that many members in a single run.
I'm probably really late, but I'm really interested in seeing the new cape/belts for BLU, PUP, and COR. Should be interesting to see what kind of stats they will have and which slot goes to which jobs.
(Only read 1st 2 pages, someone probably already said this)
1/2 price Dynamis will not mean 1/2 price relic for most people, just for the people doing LS-sponsored runs. Rolanberry price of coins will be the same, and probably even a little higher with more people upgrading.
