Dynamis and Limbus Get a Makeover! (08/04/2008)

I'ma look so GQ in BLU Relic. So damn ironic.... my LS leader wanted everyone in shell to reapply the status of what they relic they want just yesterday-- I was the only person that didn't claim anything, in hopes that BLU Relic would be released. Now I can claim it and have something to work towards. XD

Like new Xarcabard BLU PUP COR NMs. Or adding normal BLU PUP COR monsters.
If they do we will maybe already have SCH and DNC mobs too?

I got my relic way back in the day when it was hard to get relic! Now anyone will be able to run into xarc and get a pair of assassins armlets or a valor surcoat! SE really screwed the pooch on this one, what were they thinking? Its just not fair for all us long time players who put years of work into dynamis to get the items we want!

Still haven't finished my set, but I can't complain since I haven't done it since 2007 (and before that, since 2005).

From they way they're phrasing it, they're just adding the new items to the loot tables and adjusting the drop rates. AF has a pretty much equal chance of dropping from anything, so they don't really need to add new mob types.

Wouldn't want any BLU mobs in their anyways, considering how some BLU Mamool and NPC can fuck you up in an awkward moment. Or maybe that would add to the dulling hilarity that only comes from specific Dyna mobs, like SMNs, RNGs and NIN.

We need to make a betting pool for the new gear, like:
Will Blue relic be useless compared to homam; will corsair's be inversely proportional to its ugliness, will PUP come with HTH+30?

Odds are the TAU AF2 wont be any better or worse than the other 15, so each job should get one pretty good-very good piece, 2 borderlines, and 2 highly situational/shit pieces. Beyond that, shit is situational. The only MNK piece I think I'd feel comfortable using everywhere is Melee Gloves, and even then I'd want to switch up if if there's something that fits better.

Relic +1, too? If so, glad they're getting relic armor, HQ AF, HQ relic armor, relic accessories, and mythic weapons (essentially relic weapons) in the same update.

Well maybe. It depends on how much people value the jobs. If a group has a burning desire to buff their resident BLUs, then yea. If they don't, it wont be any worse than it usually is. If they were gunna instance Dynamis this update, I think they woulda mentioned it here.

Partially the new armour, but more the new cost. There are a lot of people who I know would farm dynamis if it were cheaper, and now it is. It's worth 50-100k a week for a shot at some relic if you have a small group of friends who are competant. Hell we put off starting our own shell after my last one died because no one wanted to commit to funding it. I decided to and so far so good, but 500k opens it up to far more people.

50k each for 10 people - makes it more like Limbus. Sure there's a limit to what you can achieve with 10 but I know it will appeal to some.

They could still mention the instanced part, LD. You know how SE can be skimpy on full notes until update day-- we'll see a list of shit that we didn't see today.

I'm honestly hoping they'll just finish up this epic change to Dynamis by putting the three jobs on Relic weapons. (and subsequently "forgetting" to add the notes about it)
