i know you said dream sequences are for fags

loved that dream bit with the Buddhist psychopath, the whole Irish sensibility is great with this movie + In Bruges + The Guard. enough black comedy to give you a fit but injected with poignancy throughout. movie was fucking hilarious but the tragic elements lent a depth that made it more than just a comedy

    awesome flick

Cloud Atlas. Absolutely loved it. Beautifully ambitious and acted. Even if it's not what you're into you should go see it just so people keep making movies that push the envelope and try to tell great stories.

The Raid: Redemption. I don't know how many times I almost pulled the trigger on renting it. Finally did after the handful of posts in here. Thanks! Good goddamn it is a brutal piece of work, but damn good.

I haven't seen the new Silent Hill yet, but the first one was amazing.

I just saw "My Way" and it was absolutely fantastic. It is the Korean perspective of "Saving Private Ryan" to put it bluntly.

Wong Kar-Wai is absolutely one of my top 5 directors. Chungking Express is one of my all time favorites. Personally, I don't think you will find a better Wong film than that one. That said, Ashes of Time, Days of Being Wild, and 2046 are some of his others that I love. Happy Together and In the Mood for Love are also good. They all share his style, but with Chungking Express everything just came together perfectly. Cast, setting, story and that soundtrack. I don't know why I do not own that Blu Ray yet.

The new Total Recall was decent. Probably won't watch it again. Watching The Savages tonight. Trailers for it looked good.

Also watched Fire With Fire with Josh Dumal (sp?) and Bruce Willis and the guy from L&O: CI. That one was well worth the download.

Watched El Orfanato (The Orphanage) for Halloween. Not really that scary except for two instances but such a great film. A very sad thriller is the best way to describe it.

I agree with that description. Majority of horror movies involving little kids suck and try too hard, Orphanage was pretty good.

The new Total Recall sucked balls.

How do you fuck up a movie where you're married to Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel is your other?

Eh. I don't think it was that bad on it's own. It's just one of those cases where they tried to recreate a legendary movie when it just shouldn't have been fucked with.

Recently discovered American Horror Story. I was pretty skeptical, but it's pretty amazing for the genre.

Precisely. I'm very hesitant about the new Judge Dread for the same reason...

Just saw Mr. Brooks with Kevin Costner, shit was better then I expected. Kills people fucking and doesn't afraid of anything.

    Spoiler: show
Wished the ending where the daughter kills him wasn't a dream, would've been a shit load better imo.

Had been wanting to see Drive with Ryan Gosling after seeing it reviewed on Half In The Bag.

It was their favorite movie of 2011 and it still managed to exceed my expectations, fucking amazing film.
