Yeah you feel pretty bad for the European guy at Yale whose video resume gets put on youtube. My dad had been telling me forever to watch it but the description didn't sound terribly interesting. It turned out to be one of my all-time faves though

"Touching the Void" is another excellent documentary I just watched, also on netflix. The story is similar to one you would see on that "I Shouldn't Be Alive" show, but done MUCH better. The actual people narrate while you watch a reenactment done by actors, but the reenactment and actors are excellent and you feel like you are watching the actual events. The story is incredible, I highly recommend it.

Watching Snow on tha Bluff, have already had to stop it twice because I got too freaked out in the first 10 minutes (I hate shows that use this kind of camera to shoot; makes it too real for me). Also had to turn on subtitles 5min in.

I know its gonna be good though. Thanks for the suggestion

Django Unchained: easily one of the best movies of the year.

Skyfall: worth seeing if you are a huge Bond fan. If not, the movie was very disappointing compared to previous ones.

Hobbit: Dreadful IMO. This was very poorly done.

I felt terrible for that guy because if you read any self help book or go to seminars or have employers that provide extensive orientation, everything that guy was talking about in his resume video was what I've seen in the mentioned things. He essentially was regurgitating what famous authors such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra (to name a few) have made millions on and have impacted millions of peoples lives in a positive way. I was confused as to why someone would send that guy a death threat over his video resume. I guess don't try to understand stupid.

I completely agree that the Hobbit was pretty much a let down. What was with all that fucking BBC humor? Just no.

I second Upside Down for those who haven't seen it. Visuals are super pretty and the storyline is entertaining. I recently watched the movie Good Doctor with Orlando Bloom. It was very good, but even in movies pedo shit makes me squeamish.

I recommend you see The Woodsman then, its great. Moving on, just saw the movie about Osama manhunt, Zero Dark Thirty, it was interesting. It covers the ten year hunt of Osama Bin Laden, finally leading to Navy SEAL team attack to Bin Ladens hideout in 2011. Recommended to anyone interested about this subject.

Django was another stellar QT flick, no surprise here. Loved the dialogue as usual, the man's vocabulary is something else lol.

Lincoln was also good, I went in expecting semi-boring historical movie, but enjoyed the movie throughout. Daniel Day-Lewis was superb, best performance of the year, academy awardish.

Lincoln was nothing close to historical docu, it's simply Hollywood fluff, feel free to watch with your brain turned off.

John Dies at the End. I don't even know what genre this movie falls into. Review from IMDB said it was based on a book. Definitely going to read the book after watching the movie. I am also a sucker for anything with Paul Giamatti.

I kinda regret watching south park version of bane first before watching the dark knight rises, because the whole time bane talks, that's all that I could hear.

I need to own the Blu Ray. I remember when that movie was hard to find because it was "banned" and not widely distributed.

Sad that the director died after just starting the sequel. Even though it was still made by his son, it... wasn't super great.

I watched a 2012 Australian horror (kinda sci-fi?) flick tonight called Crawlspace. Really was expecting garbage but it was not bad at all. Nothing super original, a bit of a mashup of already used horror tropes. A bit of Species, a bit Alien, a bit a few things. But I liked it.

"Murder on a Sunday Morning"

Documentary that follows the public defender of a 15 year old charged with murder on some shaky evidence and all aspects of the trial. Unless you are bored to death by the legal process I can not recommend this highly enough. The main character (the public defender) is a badass and makes an already compelling story even better.

The whole thing is in parts on Youtube, didn't see it on netflix.

Watched Dogville and it was pretty good. Very unique since the whole movie is filmed on one stage and you can see everyone at all time, little slow in the beginning but the ending is worth it.
