Pandorum was a decent sci-fi, horror, space flick. Was basically Aliens with less Rambo-flare, but decent acting and plot; reminded me of Moon a little bit.

I thought the main chick was hot as hell. Plus it has Cung Le fighting mutants!

    Pandorum was freaking awesome.

    Lincoln was trash.

Rounin Kenshin live action was better than expected.

    Edit: Nvm found it

Hate the marketing for that movie for not making clear what kind of movie it was. I love marketing for not making clear what kind of movie it was.

If you like manly movies, and a very damn well good one, purchase Dredd 3D. It's twenty bucks on amazon, you can thank me later.

I feel so disappointed that I just paid money to watch Dredd. So empty. I was so excited to see it too after the comparisons it got to Raid, after it kept getting called overlooked.

It just felt so empty. Had some good scenic shots, some decent slow motion stuff, and blood everywhere, but Raid kicks its ass all over.

Am I alone in this BG?

Django, that was fucking great. Bloody as hell but so much more than just that. Jackson was great. Foxx was amazing. Leonardo, everyone. I wonder what the chances of Quentin doing another one are.

Dredd was fucking amazing. I was disappointed with The Raid after all the comparisons it got to Dredd. Sad it will net get a sequel with its horrible sales

Django was great as well. Highly recommended.

Argh, well shit. Maybe it just matters which you saw first. =P I really really was excited to see that. Had a shitty day all day long, and kept thinking "Well I have Dredd tonight, at least there is that." It let me down!

Empty as in what? As the film having no 'soul'? Dredd's character was meant to be that way. We don't know anything about him, except that he has anger and you only see that throughout the film. With his helmet on that is the only emotion we are shown. At the end he showed signs that there might be something more to him than anger; which the psychic saw a glimpse of when she was reading his mind at the beginning. Other than that, it was balls to the wall action... because I'm the law.

Hmm not exactly sure how. I get his character, I have read a decent chunk of the comics. I even saw the Stallone Judge Dredd! And Stallone as a human possesses no emotion! I guess I was just expecting there to be more... suspense? My brain tells me I should have felt like there was a ton of action, but I just didn't, it was all over too fast. There were what, 70,000+ citizens in that tower, and MaMa had control of it all, and right at the start she basically told 70,000 people she wanted Dredd dead. Sure not all 70k are in her pocket, but she is made out to be a ganglord, she surely has a decent amount of thugs or at least enough pull to get a decent chunk of that 70k after him. So... he ended up getting attacked by a group of 4-5 thugs, a group of 6-10 thugs, another small group, 3 gatling guns, and then 4 Judges. That was pretty much the sum of his fights.

I just felt like it should have been MORE non-stop. Maybe Raid felt more so because it was a lot more hand to hand fighting, so the fights were more choreographed, more drawn out? Less slow-mo bullets through cheeks? Don't get me wrong, I am not hating the movie, I had just hyped it up so much to myself based on people I have talked to that I trust and whose opinions are generally in line with mine, and it just disappointed me pretty hard. =(

Don't know how you expect two people to fight against even a quarter of the amount of people you expected. It was a poor civilian tower that just happens to have a gang there. Doesn't mean every one is a gang banger.

I gotta agree with Graelinn, it was a decent movie but nothing that stood out for me. Looper was the one that went above and beyond my expectations.

Merantau. Pretty decent Indonesian martial arts movie. First role for the star of The Raid(Iko Uwais). If you like martial arts movies, check this one out.

Django was phenomenal, definitely work a watch.

Has anyone had a chance to see Gangster Squad yet? I'm getting mixed reviews on it and was thinking about checking it out this weekend

Watched Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 a bit earlier. Pretty awesome movie, thought it was on par (maybe better than) with Nolan's movies.
