Excellent! I have been wanting to see that one for a little while. I have been TRYING to hunt down a fair amount of movies on Blu Ray, expecially ones that I really must own (Man From Nowhere, Breathless, 13 Assassins, etc.) but some of them are hard to find, out of print, etc. A Bittersweet Life: Director's Cut for example, jesus.

Luckily there is a place here that rents a LOT of the films on my list. A Dirty Carnival, The Company Man, and The Bow are all there to rent, but only on DVD. Ha, I find it hilarious that "only on DVD" is such a negative these days.

My bad, it's called Dogtown and Z-Boys (2001) A great movie about skateboarding in the 1970's.

I saw Now You See Me.

Eh, it wasn't horrible I suppose. Entertaining, somewhat predictable. I liked The Prestige more.

FYI, for those that might be interested and not know, Best Buy is having a huge Criterion Blu Ray sale and Amazon has price matched nearly 90% of them. So if there are any Criterion Blu Rays out there that you have been waiting to snatch up, now is the time. My list is just too huge and I just dumped money elsewhere or I would definitely pick up a few.

Some recommendations off the top of my head: Harakiri (original), The Last Emperor, Harold and Maude, In the Mood for Love, In the Realm of the Senses, Bottle Rocket, The Thin Red Line, The Game... man I need more money.

Here are some of the movies I've watched in the last 2 weeks -

    Awesome and exceeded expectations:

    Snitch
    Gone Baby Gone

    Average at best:

    Iron Man 3
    Dark Skies

    Terrible:

    Warm Bodies
    Hammer of the Gods
    Oz the Great and Powerful

Really? I liked Warm Bodies. It was a great date movie with out being overly romantic.

I thought Warm Bodies was entertaining enough for what it was. Nothing ground breaking but a decent popcorn flick.

I thought it was pretty good too. Cordrey was terrible as was continuity, but cmon.... It's a zombie comedy/romance. Was cute. Could also be Teresa Palmer being in it.

Having a movie marathon tonight. The list is likely to be couple good and a couple bad.

    Oz, the Great and Powerful
    Bullet to the Head
    Jack, The Giant Slayer
    Snitch

Best thing about Warm Bodies was Nora played by Analeigh Tipton

On a second thought, I might have enjoyed Warm Bodies a tad bit more than Iron Man 3, so those 2 could be swapped.

Bullet to the Head was dumb imo. The asian dude from Tokyo drift plays the most useless cop buddy ever. Would have been a better movie if that character was removed.

I thought it was pretty great. Asian was meant to be useless and it allowed for the humor between the two. Some of the best acting out of Stallone in a long time. I think it's pretty close to Assassins even though Momoa wasn't as good as banderas. His movies never do well as far as ratings go, but I've always liked them. This is up there with his best to me.

I know he was meant to be useless. It just made the movie retarded. Would you keep a useless guy with you? And none of the intended humor was funny. Should have just had Stallone be a lone wolf and make the action and plot better.

I saw The Purge tonight. I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but I have never been so god damn mad at characters in a movie before. Just absolute stupidity. I felt like I was being trolled the entire time.

The Adjustment Bureau was as letdown. I thought it may be about behind the scenes political stuff sort of like The Manchurian Candidate but it turned out to be more so a love story. My wife at the end, "well that was stupid" lol.
