didnt see the italian job until recently (and then only the second half) and dont think i've even heard of boogie nights. i'm generally not a moviegoer- restroom breaks, etc.

tackling juzo itami comedies since tampopo has been a long favorite: minbo is pretty good. pokes fun at the yakuza; supposedly the director was jumped by yakuza dudes pissed off at how they were portrayed.

opening scene:

his wife nobuko miyamoto (that lady) is usually in all his films, all her roles so far are great

The Defcon documentary was really good. 2 hours long. I think my favorite part is when the guy talks about the janitorial staff cleaning his room in vegas.

Just saw Side Effects and thought it was okay. Would've been a lot better if the director made it more suspenseful/thrilling.

Now You See Me felt like rather than magicians doing tricks it felt like it was just magic and so all the twists and tricks felt cheap and like there were no rules that couldn't be broken by more magic.

Watched world's end and thought it was okay. Worst of the nick frost / Simon Peggy movies.

World war z was decent too, except for the end. Lol.

Downloaded blackfish, a documentary on killer killer whales. Going to watch tonight.
