Just watched Interstellar. There was a lot I liked about it, and a lot I didn't like.

I liked how the first half has pretty good science, and scientific thinking, combined with (for the first time ever) correctly used and labeled field equations and relativistic expressions on the blackboards.

I didn't like how in the second half pretty much every character starts acting like they were on Degrassi or The O.C. and drops all scientific and critical thinking in favor of acting like an angsty teenager.

I think I would've liked it a lot better if it didn't have such a promising first half. I was really, really into it and then it turned into me just scowling at the TV at parts and fast forwarding through "BUT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, LOVE IS MORE STRONG THAN GRAVITY HERP DERP."

This is from someone who doesn't blink when every 5 seconds in retro gundam shows someone says "their souls are weighed down by Earth's gravity." While standing in an accelerated frame perfectly mimicking Earth's gravity. Interstellar tried to set itself up as more science than drama. Gundam gives you robots fighting in space.

That's what I was confused about. If the Ranger separated from Endurance station and Brand jumped through wormhole to end up on the last unchecked planet, then how did Cooper end up in 5th dimension place?

This shit plus the whole "LOVE WILL BREAK THE BARRIERS OF SPACE, TIME AND GRAVITY". I was like what the fuck!? Literally burst out laughing so hard. Pretty much killed the movie for me. Can´t see why people praise it the way they do, besides maybe for the first ~50%.

Seriously the first half was solid.

And then it turned into 1980s Macross. Only thing missing was someone handing Anne Hathaway a microphone and a short skirt.

Just started the last season of Parks and Rec. I'm so conflicted and torn about whats going on with Ron and Lesley. Its like, we're in an alternate reality and I don't like it. I want everyone to be happy and love eachother again.

The last season is amazing. It's basically a love letter to the best bits of the series. Stick with it.

I facepalmed really hard when Dr. Hathaway wanted to choose that one planet "because love" but McConaughey was like nah.

I still really enjoyed the film overall because I liked the atmosphere and the scene of McConaughey trying to dock to the spinning station was epic.

Housebound was great. It's on Netflix.

VHS Viral was such a god damn letdown after how good the first two were. It's also on Netflix

Finally watched John Wick. It was pretty awesome. Some of the best fight scenes in any movie in the past few years.

Agreed. VHS2 was the first horror movie sequel I've seen that was better than the first. Was awesome.
