I finally got around to seeing Death Sentence. Not too bad, but they spent too much time building up to the drama and motive.

The first 45 minutes of Wolverine were epic. The opening credits have to be by far the best opening to a movie I've ever seen. Too bad for the rest of the movie though, it's all down hill from there...

I bought Road to Perdition when it first hit DVD a long time ago. It was "lost" in my house apparently since then, but watched it last night when I stumbled upon it.

Gotta say, it's actually a really good movie. Kind of odd to see Tom Hanks as a gangster, but of course he did a hell of a job with the role.

If you like old gangster (real gangsters, not G-Thug-Wanna-Be) movies then you should definitely give this one a shot.

I joked about how the idiots that made it would probably do something stupid like tell the exact same story using another video that was found at the scene. Yeah...that's what they're doing.

Not to mention I still want 30minutes of my life back for watching the beginning. It was so fucking pointless. The first 1/3 of that movie could have been compressed into about 3-5minutes and would have made complete sense as well as setting the mood/back story.

I actually liked the faux 'home movies' touch of the beginning of Cloverfield. The mundane normalness of that sequence made it that much more real. I'm happy I rented it though, I can't imagine how much it would have fucked with my headaches if I saw it in the theater.

I actually watched a fairly decent movie from FearNet on On Demand last night. A new zombie type flick that I had wanted to see for a while but I forgot it came out. Here's the link to it.

It wasn't bad. Starts off slow but it keeps you interested enough to keep watching until the action starts. It's not a stereotypical zombie movie. I wouldn't even really classify it as a zombie movie. More of a Sci-Fi type ghost/revenant story.

The Motorcycle Diaries - Based on the diaries of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara. Can't remember the dude who plays 'Che' but he's somewhat famous - a rising star sort of. The movie is basically the backstory to Guevara's later life as a revolutionary Marxist.
