Well, no one else made a thread about it, at least, not in the RPG section where it should be in.

That's a round up of all the stuff that came to fruition at the event. Some big notes:

~FFXIII: Agito, the once cellphone only game coming to PSP
~Parasite Eve 3, another originally cellphone only game coming to the PSP as well
~Some previews for the 2 Kingdom Hearts games coming for the DS and PSP as well
~A free demo of FFXIII (actual game play, finally) will be released with the Blu-Ray version of FFVII:Advent Children in Japan. This is neat on 2 fronts, 1, an actual fucking demo, and 2, PS3's are not region locked, so it should be importable (albeit, publishers can add a region lock if they wanted to, but lets hope not).

Sucks that most other RPGs on PS3 are lame Korean or JRPGs.

Always the same shit just regurgitated and spat out in either space/medieval/futuristic-medieval/futuristic-fantasy settings.

Need more westerns (Next gen Wild Arms prz)!

Devs should just accept they've run out of ideas and remake the games that have enabled them to keep taking our money with second-rate imitations.

FF7/Xenogears/Chrono Trigger and Cross/Wild Arms/etc. etc.

Agito 13 for PSP is awesome, and yay for actual gameplay for FFXIII.. as long as they don't actually lock the disc, i'm totally importing it.

A little bit of detective work and you would easily find out that cell phone games are pretty big in japan, and it and is another market SE likes to dabble in.

As for barthello, were not yet sure if the bluray will make it stateside, if so I would say aim for like july or august of next year, or in true square fashion, christmas 09, because most likely we wont see FF13 till 2010.

Asia (Japan mostly), and lots of Europe (though mostly UK and Ireland) looooooove their cellphones, it's no where near as big here in the states. Cellphones are a huge market in Japan.

They confirmed FFXIII release WILL be in '09. No specific date yet though. Since it will be playable in March, I would say probably around this time next year sound about right.

Released in Japan, you mean? Demo in March - Release in July/August - US around Dec/Jan?

Doesn't sound crazy, especially since they will hold onto the US PS3 release until 360 is ready.

360 is basiclly a direct port, so it will only add on 1~3 months really, as long as there are no major kinks. And whats 3 months when the game was announced 5 years ago.

what they said at E3 was, the English localization and 360 port will happen concurrently after the game is first completed for the Japanese PS3. i don't see where they said they won't release the Japanese game after it's completed.

You're right, the latest news is that it will only be a NA/EU simultaneous release, looks like Japan will get it first after all. I know long ago they said they wanted to have a Worldwide release, looks like Micro$oft changed that.

Like barthelo said we wont see the bluray/demo in US till late next year prob around this time or close, even if i releases here. If you've followed the game releases at all you would know Se confirms alot when it comes to final fantasy. 12 was supposed to be released march of 06, we didnt get it till oct 31, 10 was supposed to be released summer of 01 and was released dec 17th 01, and X-2 was supposed to come out may of 03 and was released nov 03, the point im trying to make is SE promises alot and ushualy it always get delayed, so Im optimistic to see a january of 2010, or late dec 09.

I managed gamestop during the release of all 3 games and I saw alot of them promising release dates and never came through, welcome to squareenix.
