To be fair, a lot of recent events suck and/or can be capped out on quickly. I mean exactly how many warriors or ixion capes do you have/need in an LS? ZNMs can be done an hour before/after a big event and muster up enough people to get it done and haidate is still the best piece of gear for the jobs that can wear it.

Well, I'm not so sure about this.
Not so many players have complete Salvage or Nyzul sets ( compared to homam or abjuration sets).
I'm not sure if Pandemonium have been killed yet but I think it hasn't.
Spawning the tier IV ZMNs is as much work as spawning a Byakko or a Jailer, and doesn't require less people to kill either.
Einherjar is way harder than dynamis, and lot of linkshells don't still manage to win it on a regular basis.

So I wouldn't say all these events sucks or can be capped out quickly.

Yes, haidate is still the better piece for jobs able to wear it.
I can understand the 5% of new lses focusing on stuff like sky first, but I barely understand well established lses enduring the boredom of farming sky so a member can e-peen on their 5th+ job ( especially since there are alternatives, although not as powerful.).

I though some people would be fed up of doing the same events forever and might lead their group in new directions that might be more exciting.
Seems some people do ( 3% according to the poll), but their low number shows they are either elitist forerunners or random fools that don't know what is good >.>;

My ls'll camp kings if it's in EST time and we have no events scheduled. But einherjar\dynamis does not get canceled for a day 8. Heavy focus on ls statics; around 80% of our members have at least 2 salvage pieces and around 20 nyzul 100 discs in the ls. I would imagine a lot of the more progressive ls fits that mold

Everything except for land 'camped' HNMs, which includes anything from the traditional Nidhogg/Fafnir/KB to the Tiamat/Khim/Cerb.

We're small so sometimes limited in what we can pull off, i.e. going to be a while before we see an Odin clear...but anything that is schedule-able, it works with most our members having jobs/school/families. Namis/Limbus/Sky/Sea/ZNM/Einherjar...our officers are currently in a Nyzul static but wrapping up soon to start Salvage.

ZNM content has been really fun so far, leaning towards that being my favorite out of the events that we do, though I still haven't done a ton of Sea so it may be old, but it's still new(ish) to me.

Also, to provide a little insight as to why many shells are "stuck" in old content or fight a mix, there are a lot of players - myself included - that are relatively new to the endgame for whatever reason. I simply don't take the game too seriously, and schedule my attendance at events with the algorithm: Is RL interfering? > Is it fun? > Is a friend asking me? > Do I need a title/win, drop, or drops from the event?

In my Dynamis LS there are people who are still waiting for useful Northlands drops, who have been for ages. Ones who >have< gotten them are still in to help friends out, and for the fun of kicking ass. I view it as a social event, an expensive hobby with some acceptable bonus drops. As far as I'm concerned, Dynamis is like a Victorian hunting trip to India - pointless, but a chance to hang out with friends and kill things, with the odd thrill and a few nice souvenirs. I know I'm not the only one.

Many people also can't move on to new content when they "need" (read: want) a dozen things from old content. When half the shell doesn't have access to something, whether it be due to gimpiness or lack of experience, everyone knuckles down and does old shit "just for now". Sometimes, as it is for me with Sky, it's easier to simply accept that you'll never have the time or patience to hang out for a BH - and I am far too intellectually honest to lie and say anything else besides the thrill of the kill would ever drag me up there.

Why would I join a Sky shell or HNMLS to stand around and listen to people whine and lootwhore/dramafag it up? 20 minutes of edge-riding fun ain't worth it, and if I want to get a fix of that I'll just go down to SSG and solo Zuug the Shoreleaper with Thief subbed again.

Eh most of what I think makes people 'stuck' in old content is people trying new jobs and drop rates sucking. Same people been waiting for the same drops for years, and there aren't acceptable replacements for certain pieces(RDM hat ) from newer content. Then when you finally do get the drop...you level NIN or some shit, and then holy shit I need Haidate, etc.

Voted second to last. LS I'm in is made up of people that used to do quite a bit of endgame but now all they do is hang around. We'll do missions and Assaults and stuff when we can grab some people. There was a Nyzul group and another in the process but I dont know whats going on with those now.

also have to take into consideration that a majority of the HNM shells have a bank system, and old boring NMs still put out some funds for their banks. how many PLDs still need algol, no 1 wants it, but hides are still good money. same goes for sky etc. money for an LSbank to fund members pts, einhejar, dynamis etc has to come from somewhere. if an LSbank is willing to pay for it. The only real difference i can see an LS tha does everything is changing their priority on NMs/events.

As callisto said, drop rates can suck. there's also claimming that can be an issue. Though seeing an LS canp NMs they wouldnt really benefit boggles the mind, give Abody to a SMN or ridill to a mage with a 65bst. though i guess its for shits n giggles

That's why we do Sky much of the time as well, it's old and sometimes boring, but Suzaku still puts out Dynamis money.

Mainly older events such as Sky & Limbus at this point, but we're back to doing Salvage again. We're also starting up Nyzul and ZNM's this week on a regular basis.

That's pretty much the driving force behind sky for us (well, and W.legs). Every once in a while (like every 3-4 months) our LS will camp Fafnir for a few days; we do have 3 E.bodies, but we got lucky on those drops, and have way more Salvage bodies. We like things that can be scheduled for when we want them to happen, basically.
