    UGA Rant Time:

    -UGA Starts the season #1.-
Press: Sorry dawgs, you played a weaker opponent and USC destroyed a BCS team. Down you go.
UGA: Meh, alright. Happy to have the target gone.

    -Week 2-
UGA destroys current MAC champion, Ohio State squeaks by the mighty Ohio, USC bye week.
Press: Sorry UGA, were gonna make you loose ground as a definitive #2 to Oklahoma because they hit 50 points first in their blowout of nobody.
UGA: Meh, alright. At least we showed we can play your little BCS cupcake blowout game, even though LeFevour is as good as Tebow. Yay #2.

    -Week 3-
UGA: Damn, our first SEC game. Our first road game. A rivalry game that has been decided by 6-7 points or less so many times in the past decade. This one should be damn close, a usual SEC defensive white knuckle ride.
Oklahoma: LOL Washington is 0-3 now. Damn, we keep knocking down these heavy Div-1A hitters. Go Us!
Mizzou: We scored more than you did against noone Oklahoma, sux2bu.
    Bradford: ;_;
    USC: THE Southern Cal.
    Ohio State: QQ'ed.
Press: Sorry UGA, we know you won on the road, at an SEC school, in a defensive battle, and are now 3-0. But we didnt see you notch 69 points against a "quality" team like Mizzou or Oklahoma can. Bye.
    UGA: the fuck?

Damned if you do, damned cause we dont (run up the score). I'm sick of this press bullshit. No doubt USC is #1...but for UGA to win THREE TIMES and drop TWICE because oklahoma and mizzou can win 69-whatever is crap. Florida didnt even play and stayed where they were. As far as im concerned, UGA remains #2. We've started our conference schedule, wheres yours Oklahoma and Mizzou? Wheres yours USC?

This is only going to make UGA strive HARDER to go 13-0. And quite frankly knowing Richt, this team is capable of that as long as theyre underrespected and that makes them even more dangerous. I hope these voters know what theyre doing, but UGA always performs when were down and tends to sleepwalk when were favored. We'll see you in Miami in Janurary, UGA's only question is which one of you other pretenders is gonna implode the least between now and the Big 12 title game and a USC upset in at home.

Edit: The ONLY, and this is even a MINOR ONLY, thing that is keeping me from upgrading to FURY over RAGE is that Knowshon remains in the Heisman race at a solid #3. At least the press isnt bullshitting about that one.
You see, the thing is, no matter what rank Georgia is, eventually they're going to lose a game they shouldn't, so it really doesn't matter.

Haven't you been watching the past like 10 years?

Maybe so. But until they do, the point remains that they are 3-0, won an away CONFERENCE game, and dropped in the polls. Oklahoma blew out a team that is now 0-3. Good for them for getting a win, but UGA also beat USC by 7 points, which is what they were favored to. I don't see how UGA can seriously drop in polls after that.

If that trend continues, hell, we should move UP in polls for losing.

It's the same deal as it was for K-State for a number of years, you can be clearly the best team in the country, until your school has proven that it can actually compete for a title they won't be treated equally to those that have. Don't get me wrong I feel your pain, but having seen how it was with K-State, it drives me nuts to see Georgia ranked top 5 year in and year out knowing they won't win out.

Rankings mean jack squack, everyone and their sister knows the BCS system belongs with Jerry's Kids, playoffs, etc.

Anything that screws up the BCS is approved by me - so I'll be rooting for that!

Got back from the monsoon that was the ND game, and holy shit, GO IRISH!

Yes, yes, I'm know I should not be getting overly excited, Michigan handed us the game. I'm just actually happy that we cashed in on the turnovers for once instead of either coughing the ball back up (which Clausen nearly did...), going 3 and out, or going for 4th and whatever and not making it.

Rain ended up becoming a big factor too, really forced Michigan to ground their game.

Michigan State quite honestly scares the hell outta me though (and so does Purdue the week after). Although the Irish have somehow found some crazy ways to win in East Lansing the past couple of games there, so I'm hoping that winning streak can continue.

This weekend though I'll be changing hats for the Auburn/LSU game (sister attends Auburn). Hopefully, they find a way to put up more than 3 points (aka their defense needs to score touchdowns...).

Michigan State is still going to have some issues. Hoyer cant complete consecutive passes to save his life. He seems to be able to hit that one single CRUCIAL 40 yarder though, so thank god for that.

Ringer is a beast, but I am more impressed with my spartans defense after their mediocre performance earlier this year. Their o-line is even giving Hoyer time to throw now. Dantonio was the perfect man for the job, and a Michigan State Rose Bowl appearance is LONG overdue.

Pretty much. If you get screwed by the rankings in December, maybe you'll get some sympathy, but in September, they don't mean shit. Most everything is idle speculation at this point, anyway.

This week's College Pick Em Games:

    Iowa @ Pittsburgh
    Alabama @ Arkansas
    UCF @ Boston College
    Notre Dame @ Michigan St
    Virigina Tech @ North Carolina
    Florida @ Tennessee
    Miami, FL @ Texas A&M
    Wake Forest @ Florida St
    LSU @ Auburn (points tiebreaker)
    Georgia @ Arizona St

SEC is off and rolling, I see.

Lines aren't up yet, it appears. I will edit those in later this week when they're up.

I agree with this. I watch every game and went to the bowl game last year versus BC. Biggest heartbreaker is seeing your shitty quarterback throw away the game over and over in such a close and important game.

They showed Hoyer practicing the snaps and fumbling it on the sidelines during last saturdays game and it was pretty pathetic, even though it was raining allllll game (not to mention for like 4 days straight). Ringer never juggled or fumbled with the ball the whole game which was crazy. Hopefully they'll keep it up when it comes to real teams. As long as we're better than UM I'll be happy enough. Want a bowl game though!

All I can say is if OU runs the table, it's cuz they're real, real damn good. A team that will get blown out by anybody isn't getting through KU, Texas, and TT, even if they are all home games, K-State prob won't have a 10 win season but they're much, much better than the last couple years, @OSU is always a tough game for OU, @A&M is always a hard game for anybody, and TCU is not exactly some scrub division 2 team.

    Im gonna call it now.

Wells has turf toe and is out possibly until midway through the big-10 schedule. Unless they lied about x-rays being negative, I dont see another injury causing wells to have THIS much downtime. Tressel must be trying to save his draft stock.

either that or they are trying to get the "lose a big game we should have dominated in" stigma out now instead of another beatdown by a sec team in championship game again

Wow @ this game. Louisville up 21-7 on this K.State team. Isn't Freeman supposed to be pretty decent? o.o Also, isn't this the same Louisville team that got beat by Kentucky 26-2 and that same Kentucky team nearly got beat by Middle Tennessee State? Hrm.
