Tony Franklin and his guys did want Todd, as he knew the system like the back of his hand, but that shoulder injury I believe is causing him more trouble than people think. We didn't have all of the athletes. Our O-line is still too slow for the spread system (hence why they wear down late in the game), we lack the depth, our WRs other than Rod Smith and Dunn are not that good (bottom of the SEC after all, thanks to QB play), and the only position we were really solid at is HB.
In my opinion, the only reason Kodi Burns did semi-decent was because Clemson was overrated then just like they are now. That and as much as I hate to admit it... Brandon Cox did have a good, strong arm. He just had a tendency to throw it to the wrong colored jersey. Maybe if Kodi Burns would've been the starter from the start of the offseason, worked on the system, and ran it well.. we could have seen things differently, but there's no way in hell we could've been compared to the Air Raid of Texas Tech. Jason Campbell was our last good QB, and even before then, we haven't had a good QB in ages.
I doubt Tubbs is on the hot seat, and if he is, the alumni are retarded. You don't get rid of a guy that's like 12-4 against the Top 10, has a great conference record, and basically nets you 9+ wins a year. I do think they drop two by the end of the year. At home against UGA, and probably @Alabama. I think this is Bama's year to end their drought. If AU gets back to how they were with the run a couple of years ago though, I do like their chances in both games. Their o-line right now is just too soft. I think our D-Line can destroy UGA's, especially after UGA put on that lack of show in the first half against Alabama's, but I'm afraid our offense can't score enough.
