I was actually on FF during the game, talking to a fellow Tide fan about the Rebels' front seven. They are very impressive and it's not hard to see how they were able to force turnovers and beat Florida. Despite looking sluggish, Bama had just two turnovers, and only one was really forced by the defense, Wilson's pick was just a bad route by the receiver. Will Bama run the table if they keep sleepwalking through their SEC schedule like this? No, but they have time to wake up before going to LSU. I think they really need to go out and pound Tennessee and remind people how they got to #2 in the first place.

Wow, USC didnt move up ten spots. Im impressed.

Looking at the Tennessee game now, I think Tennessee might have found some offense. Sylvester Crooms teams arent a slouch on defense either, just like Houston Nutt. No big rushing game for Tennessee yet, but the ball looked to be kept out of fosters hand for a fair bit. Passing game under Stephens is making strides. And with Tennessee how they are this year, not to dig on Alabama again but Tennessee is bound to pull an upset at some point, and theyre running out of teams to hang it on.

As for Alabama letting teams hang around, I think the stat is Alabama has outscored opponents in the first quarter now 69-3, and have been outscored in the second half 66-13. They have the talent, and thats not very typical of a Sabin team.

Chase Daniels, done for heisman. Bradford is prolly barely hanging on. Colt McCoy has jumped and is serious business.

Michigan is coming along pretty well for having almost zero athletes to run a spread under a 1st year head coach. By the Ohio State game they might be nearing peak with the players they currently have.

What the hell sport are you watching? It can't possibly be football, where Bradford has 860 yards 8 td and 2 int in the 2 biggest consecutive games anyone's played so far this year...

I actually think Alabama has outscored their opponents in the first quarter, 95-3, lol.

I like how OU's first quarter score is getting more and more reasonable every week.

Down to a totally average 117-13 now.

Nope, i went back and looked and saw Bradford get outshined, outclassed, and outperformed by Colt McCoy in every aspect, and then get plain old showed up by Colt against Mizzou. Games still football, and in terms of QB's winning the award Bradford is 2 Texas losses from even being looked at to be honest.

Again, what the fuck sport are you watching?

McCoy vs Bradford head to head:

    McCoy 28/35, 277 yards, 1 TD

    Bradford 28/39, 387 yards, 5 TD

Yup, clearly McCoy outshined, outclassed, and outperformed him in every aspect.

McCoy vs Mizzou, Bradford vs KU:

    McCoy 29/32, 337 yards 2 TD

    Bradford 36/53, 468 yards 3 TD

    Clearly, "plain old showed up."

Sure, McCoy has the lead. That's what happens when your team wins the head to head game.

But to say the things you're saying is flat out stupid.

"Barely holding on?" Are you just plain trolling or what? Name another person other than McCoy that's even remotely in the same league as Bradford for heisman right now...

    McCoy is here

UT fans ignore stats and justify everything in their mind, remember, Limas Sweed and Jermichael Finley are the best WR prospects to come out in the '08 draft, lolJamal Charles is the best RB in the Draft (They are all on the bench now lol go figure including him) -> Vince Young is Joe Montana in waiting and Colt McCoy is the best player College football has ever seen.

He is another Jason White, or perhaps Major Applewhite. Decent but way over hyped. They beat OK, thats good, but they play The North Texas Mean Green, Sam Houston State and Devry technical institute every other week. Looking good against these teams is a difficult proposition guyz!

I love that I get to be on both sides of every argument lol.

I hate McCoy (see: multiple "colt is a scrub and will ruin texas's chances" posts), but right now he's the frontrunner no question. It's just silly to say Bradford isn't close.

Ok, and how many votes is Bradford going to get with Colt still on top? Seriously. You think Bradford has any chance of winning the trophy with Colt in the position he is in?

Man, that Sam Bradford sure is accurate. Don't mind that Colt McCoy is just as good, has the head 2 head win, and made the previous leader (in my opinion) in Chase Daniel look like he was still playing High School ball. Lets vote for Sam Bradford!

Yea, Bradfords second in maybe the QB's up for the trophy. But with Colt still sitting there at a #1 with the foundation in body of work hes put up...you honestly think Bradford can still pull votes?

Get off your trashtalking. Berating me for putting something out there just makes you look silly. Damn, Kirin is such an asshole and clearly doesn't know what hes talking about simply for having an opinion.

As for what sport im watching. I think its the one where they throw the ball constantly and gave it a silly name that has no bearing on what appendage is being used. But i could be wrong.

Dawgs underachieving so you're taking it out by gracefully pole dancing on Colt's schlong?

Not really, I just wanted to throw a lolgeorgia barb into this fray. I felt it was needed.

No, cause actually if I was a voting member of the press id be all for Ringer and Crabtree. But colt simply shredding Mizzou and putting everything on the line against Oklahoma impressed me.

Speaking of "lolUGA"...We got a much deserved bump in the BCS polls...up to 7.

Guess which SEC "favorite" just got hosed worse than Matt Leinharts pro career? Sup Florida at #10.

More than anybody else in the country.

You think Bradford has any chance of winning the trophy with Colt in the position he is in?
You think anyone has any chance of winning the heisman over a quarterback that plays great and leads his team to an undefeated record in one of the toughest schedules you'll ever see?

Colt McCoy is a prototypical heisman frontrunner. That doesn't mean anyone else is "barely hanging on," or anything of the sort. That means if he finishes the season undefeated, he wins, that simple. If he doesn't, it becomes an extremely close race between he and Bradford.

Guys. This is all moot. Colt McCoy could come out and lay an egg. He might come out and throw what.. 5 incompletions? God what a horrible QB.

No, I kid obviously about that being horrible, but he COULD have a bad game, and bam -- in moves someone else for the Heisman. That's just the way College Football is now. Of the 4 or 5 heisman guys, they could all come out, and have a huge week while the others have meh weeks, and move into the lead. Who knows.

Yeah I definitely think if McCoy "causes" Texas to lose by having a shitty game, Bradford moves up. You can't ask for a lot more than what Bradford did against Texas.

Yeah, that's where I picked it up. It's not like the ref tried to get out of the way, it's not that he just didn't move, he didn't brace himself against a hit, he actively moved into the player....

And I thought Pac-10 refs were bad.
