as of right now I think the 5 best teams are Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tech, and USC, in that order. State would be number 1 if Robinson had a little more experience in big games imo.

We'll see if that opinion can be changed tonight.

After the first several minutes of CU vs Mizzou I am predicting it will end 84-3.

not saying that's what they should be in the rankings, just my opinion of who's best

here's my dream too bad it can't possibly happen scenario:

Oklahoma State getting to NC somehow, playing Bama, who they'd rock.

Texas gets USC in Rose bowl, wins epic game part 2

Oklahoma gets Boise State in Orange Bowl, don't care who wins lol

Tech gets Ohio State or Penn State in Sugar Bowl and puts up 70, wins by 3

Mizzou gets Florida in Fiesta, Florida scores 60, Daniels goes 88/89 for 1800 yards and they win by 21.

    Looking most likely atm:

Texas vs USC for NC, should be good game, Oklahoma gets Florida in one of em for a good game, next 4 big 12 teams beat badly outmatched opponents by an average of 30+.

alabama and florida in the SEC title game where winner will go to the nat title game. Not really impressed with UGA giving up that many points to an lolLSU team that has a terribad offense, florida should rock them next week.

Die in a fire. UGA proved they've got it tonight. LSU was favoried by 2.5, in a game where the hat had himself backed into a wall. UGA responded by clearing out quite possibly the most hostile SEC away environment by the midpoint of the 4th...EMPTIED! UGA is never about style points, but they had this won by halftime. Florida was kept close and again needed Tebow (and some LSU mistakes) to save themselves from letting LSU creep back in the 2nd half. UGA played a full 60 minutes and comes out with a dominant win on the road.

Also, If LSU is so lolLSU then Floridas win actually means less than UGA's win. UGA beat LSU at home, Florida had them in the Swamp. Road Wins > Home wins. But thats a moot point, LSU is still a good team for running 2 green quarterbacks in the SEC. They just happened to run into the 2 best teams in the east back to back and got romped rightfully so.

I'm disappointed our rush defense didn't have an answer to Scott, but knowing Richt I think we gameplanned for Holiday. So im not TOO worried. Stafford, Moreno, and Green all had another breakout game. And to me what gives us the edge over Florida next week is Stafford hands down. Game control will be vital with 2 potent running offenses, and Stafford can control flow and time so much better than Tebow can.

Why we wore red away though, fuck if I know. But at this point, I want us to wear it in Jax now.

Though not to take away anything from what was a stunning Florida performance, 2 touchdowns with only having to move the ball 4 yards is silly. Also account for all the players Kentucky is down right now, and Florida is peaking right now too. If this had been Florida against Vandy or South Carolina, id expect it to be much closer.

Alabama finally played a full 60 minutes, and i think they *might* take a few first place voters from Texas this week. It is now obvious Tennessee just doesn't have anything in their tank, though both the LSU and Auburn games are now especially dangerous for Bama. LSU will be out for blood and Auburn relishes playing the spoiler role when they know they're done.

Penn State, im unsure if they just didn't show up or Ohio State has just decided they're done for the year. Both teams just looked meh on offense, which made the defenses look amazing but im not so sure. Penn State obviously better defensively, but Penn State looked to be head and shoulders above even the entirety of the Big 10. I wonder if they've peaked too early now. They should have been able to put more on Ohio State.

USC can suck it. Arizona, we got one gnat off the BCS's back this week (Ohio State), why couldn't you just play offense for a meager 2 minutes and knock another off? You were given short fields how many times?

Texas Tech might be the only team capable of outscoring Texas. Texas and Oklahoma State remain, in my opinion, are the only Big XII teams that even bothers with defense anymore. Though if TT can put 40+ on Texas, I would be curious if Texas could keep up.

As for Bradford v McCoy for heisman, Bradford only going 13/32 is not keeping him at #2 anymore. Next.

    The Cocktail Party:

Not as epic as it was proposed to be pre-season, but really only taking a half step down in that both teams have a dumb loss. Obviously, Florida wants revenge for last years embarassment. Both teams are coming in red hot, and it might even be better than last years game. But as I stated before, if both teams bust out with rushing focused games, Staffords clock control is going to be superior even though Florida is capable of putting more points up tit for tat. UGA is superior in the air. Florida has a much more consistant defense coach, Richt is a better tactician than Meyer. Both teams get creative on playcalling when they need it, but sometimes Florida can get carried away unnecessarily.

Georgia is just starting to peak I think, and still has room to improve, the LSU game was a HUGE measuring stick. Florida might have peaked against Kentucky to be honest. 3 blocked kicks isn't something that happens as standard by any measure of a good defense. Hard to call it score wise, but to base it on body of work UGA has lived through more this season than Florida has.

Post is getting hella long, its late, im both baked and blitzed, and Athens is on fire after demolshing LSU in front of a stadium with only red+black left. Florida better be ready.

Hardly, LSU needs to work on their quarterbacks and Auburn needs a new offense completely. The only challenge left for Bama in the SEC is Florida which will have to be in the SEC title game

Yeah man, only scoring 3 touchdowns while his team puts up 55 in the first half, what an embarassment. I guess Stafford is better now right? I mean, he is only 900 yards and 16 td's behind, after all. Surely 1 so-so game makes that all null and void.

Yes, we do, the SEC cocksuckers have their heads too far up their asses to realize the only threat outside the big 12 to any of the top at least 3, more likely 4-5 big 12 teams is USC or Florida on a freakishly great day.

Holy shit, your SEC cock sucking is just as bad as the blind love that you claim the media gives to USC. Why is it that when Georgia wins 14-7 over an unranked South Carolina team, that you call the game a "typical gritty, ground out, SEC defensive battle," but when USC's defense holds an Arizona team averaging 40.4 points to 10, it's Arizona not playing to its potential? Both were tough conference away games (for Georgia and Southern California) won by defense. How can you assume that South Carolina is a better team than Arizona simply because its in the SEC?

Calling USC a "gnat" in the BCS is also blind ignorance, given what Tyche has already posted about USC's record in "big" games the past few seasons. And seriously, it took you until today to realize that Tennessee is absolute shit when they lost their season opener to a UCLA team that is also absolute shit? All of your bias stems from some idiotic belief that even the crap teams in the SEC are way ahead of the crap to mediocre teams in all the other major conferences, which I don't see how you can possibly justify.

I wanna know who people think are better than the big 12 teams, honestly.

I know nobody around here is dumb enough about the big 10 to think any of them are better.

Everybody hates USC so it's not like they're arguing for that.

Bama? People can't honestly believe they have a chance at keeping up with any of the top big 12 teams.

Georgia? lolsu scored 38 on them, any of the top big 12 are putting up 50+

Florida? Maybe, if their offense was consistent, but when the opposing defense is just as fast as theirs, their biggest advantage in every game they play is out the window.

So what then? Boise State lol?
