Yeah, fatigue was just one of the things that makes me believe we will fall at some point. The other is dumb luck. Missed extra points, tipped balls returned for TDs, etc. You just can't prevent everything. While I hope and dream they go undefeated, I'm a realist and at the end of the day would be extremely happy to end up with 1 loss.

I grew up just watching SEC games and not caring about any other teams/conferences so to me they will always be USC (although apparently SoCal sued them for the right to their USC design and won?). Over the last years though everytime I hear USC I begin to think SoCal so I'm beginning to change.

Even if Bama and UGA play impressively I wouldn't be shocked if they screwed us over again. I thought for the Auburn UGA game last year in November we were going to get GameDay. We had just shocked UF and were pretty hot ending the season and Auburn was doing well also. But instead they did their annual Division 3 gameday that weekend. Athens sure noticed the "smack in the face" and we don't get our hopes up. I realize that they wanted to break away and showcase some shitty Div 3 schools but I believe they should have done it earlier in the year (iirc they had a GameDay at some top 3 school playing a extremely shitty school). It may just have been bad timing and we'll get in for Bama. I hope.

They needed to be humbled, and I think they were. They needed that type of game. I'd worry about them.
Quoted for two reasons. First, any team coached by Saban I would never count out. Second, I didn't watch the game so I just went with the box score info. So that's awesome. I'm never a fan of playing teams after they get a 'gut-check' or 'humbled'. Their is a lot to be said about mental fitness and emotional preperation for games. I'm sure Nick Saban now has all the ammo he needs to fire up his team for the next game.

    Fixed. And fuck Tennessee.

I love college football and everything that goes along with it. It's good to have an outlet besides UGA people. It's interesting to hear what the rest of the country thinks about different teams. Keep up the posts here.

Rofl. Wow. I was on the sentence about them going to the National Championship in 98 I believe, that I continued it on in the next sentence. Woops. D: I meant SEC Championship, but yeah. You get my point, and I pretty much agree with the stuff you said. So coolbeans. Here's hoping for a UGA/Alabama GameDay! D: Also pretty much depends on if CBS has that game or not, you have to remember.

Gameday hates Athens on a whole, so that compounded with their general distaste for UGA makes things even worse.

Gameday was at the UGA/Bama game last year i think, so im not sure if they will repeat it. Though Kirk has said they NEEDED to get back to Athens, but I take anything Kirk says with a large dose of salt.

My guess is they would use a UGA road game, so they can end up claiming it give UGA equal time without having to go to Athens...so outside that my money is them coming for Tennessee if they DO come to Athens, but if they want to spurn Athens again id pick ASU/UGA. Both should be night games.

This week's games are up, with opening lines posted at Vegas Insider.com.

    Iowa State (+13.5) @ Iowa
    UCLA (+8.5) @ BYU
    Oregon (-7) @ Purdue
    Michigan (+1) @ Notre Dame
    Georgia (-7) @ South Carolina
Georgia Tech (+7) @ Virginia Tech
    Auburn (-10.5) @ Mississippi State
    Oklahoma (-20) @ Washington
    Wisconsin (-1) @ Fresno State
Ohio State (+9) @ USC (points tiebreaker game)

This batch of games is about ten times better than last week's. Five road favorites, only three double digit spreads.

Yeah.. I guess just because it's a home game. Both are absolutely dreadful though.

UGA should top Carolina by more than 7...

Id watch out for UCLA. They just might be a sleeper in the Pac 10. And BYU was solid...but against Washington? Game shouldnt have been as close if BYU is as good as everyone says they are.

I think BYU has less problems with UCLA than UGA has with South Carolina. You're right. UGA should not have problems with South Carolina, but we know how they tend to play down to them... especially last year.

I think the UCLA/Tennessee game was a product of a first home game and all that. BYU shouldn't have many issues.. though I could be wrong.

I just cannot fathom Michigan going 1-2 going into Wisconsin and Illinois. I think they'll step it up and find a way to win. I also have UCLA topping BYU.

I have Michigan beating ND too, but I have BYU over UCLA in a low confidence. I haven't sorted all of them yet though, because this week is actually hard. D:

Also, on another not for Georgia fans... listening to the Scott Van Pelt show. He talked about how he tried to talk to Georgia fans, but no one believed it was him. They were too busy complaining about how SC didn't show Moreno hurdle the grown man, but showed his 52 yard TD run and such, lol. He thinks Stafford is one of the true NFL ready QBs out there. He's the same body build as Jay Cutler too. Interesting stuff. VP has always been one of my favorite guys at the Mothership of ESPN.

I'm listening to SVP now, he talks about posting on messageboards and chats a lot. I wouldn't believe it was him if he posted here either >.>

Yeah, I probably wouldn't either, and I know he always talks about that. That's why he's one of my favorite ESPN Personalities. He's more down to earth, and talks about normal shit a lot.

Michigan HAS to beat ND. I mean I know Michigan is terrible this year, but ND struggled vs a SDSU team that lost to Cal Poly. Don't get me wrong, Utah and Miami (OH) aren't good teams by most measures. I just think Michigan was more impressive (or less terrible?) than ND so far.

And I picked BYU over UCLA. Yeah BYU should have played much better vs Washington to actually justify their ranking, but UCLA needed a miracle 2nd half after one of the worst 1st half QB performances I've seen. Then their defense couldn't step up with like 30 seconds left to win the game without OT. I'm also giving the edge to BYU because it's a home game for them.

I'd actually like to see BYU lose (so PSU jumps more in the rankings :D ), but I don't think UCLA will pull it off.

My issue is Michigan/ND, Fresno State/Wisconsin (Wisconsin is going to be underwhelmed from the difference in size of the stadium I feel), GT/VT (VT's QB issues vs GT's new offense? I dunno..), so yeah. Some difficult games for me. Some obvious ones too like Oklahoma and such.. but this is gonna be a tougher week.

Wisconsin is going to be underwhelmed by the size of the defensive linemen of Fresno State given the corn-fed 320 lb. behemoths they have on the O-Line. We're winning this game.

As expected from a Wisconsin fan, but I wouldn't overlook Fresno State. Never overlook Pat Hill. That's my issue with the game. I'm not what to do. If I go Fresno, it'll be 1-3 points, but if I go Wisconsin, I may go higher. Not too sure. D:

I sort of wish I was in Las Vegas this week. I bet I could make a killing on a few select games.

They're probably decent, but it took them til halfway through the 3rd quarter to score any points against Rutgers.

    Just sayin'

To further my previous point in regards to Mark Richt.

    http://collegefootball.rivals.com/co...144&CID=848305

He and Moreno are pissed off because his highlight didn't make the local and ESPN's top 10 plays. WTF is that shit about, God he is a fucking douche. I first heard about this Sunday morning on ESPN before gameday came on. I mean seriously what the fuck? Moreno should focus on his classes and not worried about looking good on the field. I hate my people sometimes, they always have their priorities fucked up.

    /Ruckus mode.
