Yeah, fatigue was just one of the things that makes me believe we will fall at some point. The other is dumb luck. Missed extra points, tipped balls returned for TDs, etc. You just can't prevent everything. While I hope and dream they go undefeated, I'm a realist and at the end of the day would be extremely happy to end up with 1 loss.
I grew up just watching SEC games and not caring about any other teams/conferences so to me they will always be USC (although apparently SoCal sued them for the right to their USC design and won?). Over the last years though everytime I hear USC I begin to think SoCal so I'm beginning to change.
Even if Bama and UGA play impressively I wouldn't be shocked if they screwed us over again. I thought for the Auburn UGA game last year in November we were going to get GameDay. We had just shocked UF and were pretty hot ending the season and Auburn was doing well also. But instead they did their annual Division 3 gameday that weekend. Athens sure noticed the "smack in the face" and we don't get our hopes up. I realize that they wanted to break away and showcase some shitty Div 3 schools but I believe they should have done it earlier in the year (iirc they had a GameDay at some top 3 school playing a extremely shitty school). It may just have been bad timing and we'll get in for Bama. I hope.
Quoted for two reasons. First, any team coached by Saban I would never count out. Second, I didn't watch the game so I just went with the box score info. So that's awesome. I'm never a fan of playing teams after they get a 'gut-check' or 'humbled'. Their is a lot to be said about mental fitness and emotional preperation for games. I'm sure Nick Saban now has all the ammo he needs to fire up his team for the next game.
Fixed. And fuck Tennessee.
I love college football and everything that goes along with it. It's good to have an outlet besides UGA people. It's interesting to hear what the rest of the country thinks about different teams. Keep up the posts here.
