Alright, so you have Pld leveled, I'm assuming you believe yourself to be a fairly good tank.

Can you explain the emnity system in FFXI?
(No, You don't have to use the terms that were dubbed [VE, CE, TE])

As for your Dark Knight, you -probably- have gear swaps for your TP build and WS build (assuming you're not gimp). Can you explain when 12 attack and 6 Str From a haub +1 would beat the 10 (12?) Str and 0 attack on say~ a Hecatomb Harness in a weapon skill.

Blue Mage: Have you geared yourself and learned which spells are appropriate in exp/end Game situations (Hint: Cannon ball with defense stacked and combined with SA is a very useful damage technique during a kited fight)

These questions will suffice for now, I'm not trying to make you look stupid in any way, I just want to make a point which is more relevant to me, not so much to others.

I'm bored so what the hell. VE is emnity that decays, CE is emnity that is static and only reduces when your hit. TE is your VE + your CE which is your overall hate. VE comes from provoke and job abilitys for the most part and CE is from cures and spells. I gear my pld right now with about +35 emnity and 10% haste to accomodate flash and shadow recasts. No, I do not blink my gear because I don't know how many mages use blink me not, or have my named macroed in. I generally reach maximum hate within 5 minutes, faster if I can cure people, depends on what I'm fighting. I have full sentinel merits so my VE decay rate is -98% so I lose almost no emnity from job abilitys combined with the +50emnity spike from sentinel.

I don't know the specifics for str and atk, I just parse when I buy or get new gear and configure my DRK from there. It seems to do pretty well, I'm sure it could be better, but I only really use it to merit right now.

Ya I know what I'm doing with blu. I really only use it for cannonball on cerberus and khim now though. Also in nyzul isle. I have a screenshot of me doing 2115 on cerberus on my blu somewhere, I know I have seen higher but not from anyone on gilgamesh.

Bg, to me, used to be a group of people focused on bettering themselves. Then these forums became grounds for insulting people that did not understand the game as well as people on BG did (Which, in a way I believe is still acceptable because if you're tanking and don't know the importance of building both types of emnity, then you should really gtfo). But now.. These forums are used to constantly pick drama with each other and call each other stupid without presenting any proof (or in other words, credentials)

If it weren't for FFXI's dying community, I would love to suggest that all BG members, before being able to post anywhere but the standard thread, should have to take a test showing their understanding of this game.

While I can't say if exelior is a competent human being, I can say that he has a better understanding of this game than most of you. And while he hasn't shown the greatest of social skills by finding better ways to say "You're a fuck tard" like you all have. I can honestly say he is more up to par with what I would label as 'BG' standards than the majority of you who decided to spend time insulting him in this thread.

I don't shit talk people on the game like I do here, I just find it ammusing to watch how people will swarm to this thread just to argue. Dioma and Bechyni are ass holes but everytime we've talked on the game its not like it is on here. In the end people come here to "show off" and act like they are cool and other shit. I think its funny, that's why I'm here, but I don't take this as seriously as other people do. When people say on a forum,
"we're gonna do a blue gartr BC on you" it no longer carrys the same value as it used to. This entire thread that I have posted, has made a joke of Blue Gartr, if I was a moderator I wouldn't let any of this bull shit on here because it has no purpose other then to flame bait.
