Yup, China is pretty much unbeatable in the Diving sports.

All the other nations will catch up during the Track and Field however.

Well, you can bet that if other countries see medal contendors losing out because of this scoring to the same degree the Americans are, you'd hear it more.

Unfortunately, we're bitching the most because we're getting the most opportunities.

Yeah, nobody else is complaining because they all suck (by Olympic standards, obviously), this year's gymnastics is a 2 team competition with about 2 people outside China or US that had chances at gold in anything, and those were only in single events, and not really that great of a chance.

What happened is that German Matthias Steiner won the gold in the super heavyweight division in weightlifting. What wasn't mentioned in the article unfortunately is that Steiner's wife died in a tragic car accident last year and before she died, he promised to become a German citizen (he's from Austria) and to win gold.

At the medal ceremony he had a picture of her. The olympics need more heartfelt moments like this.

Oh, at the end of the article, it says the Chinese have won 8 gold medals in weightlifting. So that is one reason why they have so many.

The BMX starts tonight. First time ever in the olympics. Will be cool. With skicross being a part of Vancouver 2010 coupled with the rise of snowboarding as an olympic sport, the so-called extreme sports are slowly starting make an impact on the IOC.

Yea Shawn got the gold. China did a TON of messing up, I believe those particular girls crumble under pressure very easily.

Well, you guys aren't the only ones to have some complaints with the judging. In women's tae kwon do, our Canadian was taking on a Swed. Our Canadian landed many hits but had no points scored at all. Her coach was pissed. He even said that other coaches were surprised about the judging. They filed a protest to try to get a rematch this afternoon.

Fucking judges have no clue.

Nothing against canadians or that paticular instance, but it was every fucking gynastics compettion we were getting fucked, excpet when we won gold and they almost didnt get that. Fuckin brutal to watch our girls get cheated alomst everyday it was disgusting to watch.
