I will say I feel bad for people who didn't get to watch that game live due to its time on the east coast. While on paper it looks like we had really bad defense, (we could have been better, yes, but it wasn't bad defense) Spain really just had an absolutely amazing performance. They made tough runners the entire game and our team was strong enough to hold the lead after the first quarter, even if it did shrink to 2 points once and 4 points a couple of times. Our overall team attitude and respectful confidence looked so good this game. Team USA handled, with extreme poise, a Spain team with a couple of players who may have played their best game of basketball they will ever play. We kept reasonable confidence and control in the game, and it was the first time we've had a chance to do that with a single-digit lead.

Also, obligatory Dwayne Wade and Kobe Bryant wows.
