so this is how its gonna be..
instead of selling in-game items, they're actually throwing in stuff made of pewter..

I'm going to say just one word: "Meh."
Hell, I'll say it again: "Meh."
Color me unimpressed, and let's be real, I've been broke as shit for months, I'm not going to drop a bunch of change on something I'd most likely never wear anyway.
I still want nation rings.![]()
I want a Tamas Ring.
I'll go one further. I want nation rings in REAL PEOPLE SIZES. I think the largest size they carried was nine (when you converted to US), that does me no good.
EDIT: Also, if they really want to sell something like hotcakes, sell us that damned Goblin figurine from the CD cover.
Things id like to see sold:
-HNM Statues (Faf,Cerb,Hydra,Sandworm etc)
-Apkallu Plushie
-Custom Made Statues of our characters
-CoP Rings
This thing looks like a fishing hook, i suppose the ingame item will be better looking.
I saw this before I went to class and was like "I can't wait to see the real announcement when I get back"

ffxi content is rock bottom so they must spam sales of real life items to suffice their business. awesome strategy.
to suffice their business?
For a minute I thought you were talking about the arcade game.... which I love and will play for hours anywhere I can find it.

The ingame bonus will allow you to have a personalized FF style theme song w/has the range of "say." This theme song will vary between "running," "being engaged to an enemy," "death," and "casting." But it will not replace the Chocobo music
so.. theres a new in-game item called Tidal Talisman...?
i mean.. so far most merchandise has been based on items already in game...
The rarity of some of the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game cards is just fucking silly. Some cards go for hundreds of dollars (Spectral Tiger is close to a thousand now), which gives an idea of just how many of the packs that have to be purchased just to find a rare card to be resold.
Square-Enix has joined the fray. Who cares? At least it comes with a physical item which doesn't belong to a card game. We just have to hope that the bonus-item doesn't become the sole draw of the item (whereas Piano Collections actually had something people would have bought anyway).
