They released some trading arts back in 2004(?) of Ramuh, Shadow Lord, and Fafnir. I've got Faffy on my computer tower but they're only a few inches tall.

I bet this damn necklace is going to cost $150 if you go by what the other SE merch necklaces cost.

God yes that statue is gorgeous. It's really old as well, I remember seeing pictures of it when I first started playing (NA PC release) but couldn't buy it anymore.

I think that's the point. The price keeps people from abusing it. SE could turn this car around if you don't stop complaining... server transfer option was a generous gift.

I see this going 2 ways:

1) The in-game item is extremely good, forcing people to pay $70+ on worthless crap in order to obtain them. (This would be 'dickish' on SE's part, but like people have previously mentioned, SE is a bussiness)

2) The in-game item is bollocks and only the 'hardcore' fans buy the shit just because they must have everything branded with a FF logo.

Either way, SE's going to make a hell of alot of money here, and that's the main reason i won't be buying any of this shit; even if it is a 2mp/tick refresh neckpiece. It's sad enough our money goes towards F'all at the moment, i'm not about to throw more money at SE to waste.

For those who don't know: If you wore one of those 100$ rings, all the brass/copper/cheap color they used wears off. So I'm really skeptical about buying something like this (even if it gets me out of a christmas present for someone i know :3)

My Sandy ring's still holding up alright...a few nicks in it from where I used it as a bottle opener, but it's still pretty good. It was just plain sterling silver though iirc, without the varying colors like the Bastok/Windy ones, so that may have something to do with it.

Good thing my Sandy ring is sterling silver. It's got a few dings since I wear it a lot but I'm keeping it polished and everything so it still looks pretty much like new.


I'd kill babies for that chocobo statue. I've only ever seen it for sale ONCE and it was back in early 2004 for about $300. I wish I had the money to buy it back then because I've never seen it anywhere else. For that matter, I'd love to find that FFVI opera house statue and the FFIV Mt. Ordeals one. For now I've gotta settle for the FFV one with Boko and Butz chillin' in the forest.

Thanks for remiding me... saw this at the comic con this year and I almost cried because it said "Release Date Winter 2008" (which means sometime after the next expansion)

And Shadow Lord isn't really one of my favorite characters in the game.

If it was available at the con, I would have bought it... I probably still will when it IS released.
But I'd still preffer sculptures of the (mostly) important storyline NPCs from each/all the expansions (including Lion, Ulmia, the Serpent Generals, Altennia of the Young Griffons... and maybe Aphmau in her role as her famous alter ego )
