He was the most likely candidate for attorney general though. But let's be honest, he has a D in front of his name, not an R. Who gives a fuck.

The problem is though, nobody would care about this regardless of what party they came from if the person was not in any position of power or was being in some sort of race for it to hurt him, but i guess somebody has to report this, right?

But, you may be right, pubbies probably do go under the lenses more often, but that's probably because they're supposed to be the party of the religious sector and the pro family sector, so when they do these things it sort of reminisces an image of hypocrisy.

In all honesty, who gives a fuck about this? He had an affair, told his wife about it over 2 years ago. They've obviously worked it out since, so why is this such a big deal now? He's not even a presidential candidate anymore, so why should this be made into a big scandal?

You might to read former Soviet KGB Colonel Thomas Schuman's book, "A Love Letter to America". He talks about how the disinformation bureau had their agents of influence on CBS, NBC, AP and countless news organization. He writes how abortion was propagated amoung western nations as a means to depopulate and reduce the pool of draft aged soldiers available for military service. Now, after 35 years and about 50 million abortions later, we are forced to allow illegals into the country to work the jobs there are not enough Americans to work! Strange how all our manufacturing goes to nations with large population basis? Our economy is at full employment (as 95% is considered full employment) with the aid of illegal labor. The down side is that they are flooding are jails, murdering and killing our citizens and siphoning billions of dollars out of our nation. Miami, Los Angeles and Houston may as well be Mexican Cities with English randomly spoken and Mexican Flags flying proudly. Obama will be the key that plummets our nation into widespread marxism and the abondonment of the Southwest over to the Mexicans. You and your crowd are now the true "Domestic Enemies" our forfathers warned us about!

By the way, did the media ever report on when McCain cheated on his wife with someone half his age a long time ago? Or is it irrelevant now because it was too long ago? Kind of like his experience as a POW is irrelevant now because it was a long time ago.

How would you know about it if no one reported it?

I mean brought it up again at some point in some attempt to smear his name now that he's running for pres, as all good unbiased news sources do.

I know Olbermann has pointed it out a few different times (I can remember 3) and I think I heard it on the Daily Show once. I personally don't watch any show that would use that as "news" though, so I'm sure I've missed it being used against him.

Olberman, lol of course he would. I think the personal lives of elected officials or those running for positions should stay, ugh, private, but i think that the US desires the people who represent them to be as squeeky clean as possible and can't separate a private life from a public one.

I agree with you in principle, but then I wonder whether I could vote for someone that I have no respect for.

I don't know about that. I do know he left his wife who got in a disfiguring car accident to marry a rich cheerleader.

I guess the way i see it is that your respect will only be earned if the person in question has morals similar to yours, so in principal, what should be important is what the politician has done and what he intends to do in terms of politics, not whom he chooses to have sex with or how as long as it's legal that is. I just think expecting politicians to be perfect is very unrealistic.

In case you haven't noticed, americans like piling unrealistic expectations on people so that they can tear them down when the person doesn't live up to them.
