Laptop Keyboard problem

all my number key but 5 and 6 stop working randomly sometimes[will work for hours then just stop, and restart usually doesn't fix it], anyone have any advice, it is HP pavilion Laptop DV 8000, while I still can use the numberpad this extremely annoying since I normally prefer alt/ctrl + number for macros, so I'd appreciate any advice, and I'd rather not get a usb keyboard unless needed.

Reseat your keyboard. if it doesn't work, you're boned. If it does work, glee.
