It seems to me BG has evolved. It seems that now there's a large group in support of "Welcome to the BG neighborhood!" "Here's your fruitcake as a nice housewarming present." "Is there anything I can do to make your stay here more comfortable?"
On the other hand, there are individuals that still honestly enjoy pointing out others errors. In my opinion, more posts have come from people trying to either give others shit in the quest for epic pwnage than legitimate questions.
The best part though is when the Mr. Rogers BG posters come down on the pwnage seekers. I think that, in a way, perhaps they fail to see that they're becoming exactly what they hate so much.
