Go talk to a fucking shrink or someone with a PhD if you are seriously vexed here. I mean seriously, look at the gems of advice you've received so far. If I were you I guess I would write my dreams down in a journal and try to figure out what they meant and maybe try to influence the events. Then write a bestseller about it and have a show on ABC.

Exactly. People like to think making up an answer makes you smarter than someone with enough sense to admit they might need to study the matter further.

Although in this case it's pretty simple, really. Your brains take in and process information through 5 senses: Sight, Hearing, Taste, Touch and Smell. The brain defragments as you rest, creating dreams. Information is organized and rearranged, which is why you often times see people and places from long ago.

If you were seeing into the future, you would be taking in new information. This would require some magical 6th sense that only functions while comatose. You, the OP, yourself admit you don't believe in a 6th sense. OK, then barring some kind of cosmic movie screen on the backs of your eyelids, you can't be receiving new information.

Of course this doesn't mean the brain cannot create new images based on past experiences. In fact, having such a bad experience at Wal-Mart really sticks in your memory, making it all the more likely to dream about it. Meeting a new step-brother can be preceded by dreams of what he'll be like. Playing FFXI day-in and day-out certainly produces dreams of that

Everyone wants to have cool powers, but notice how psychics, mind-readers, people who talk to the dead... they always want your money. No psychic ever wins the lottery, mind-readers never volunteer for medical research to monitor their brain activity, no fortune tellers ride along with the Army to avoid land mines and ambushes.

It's just not real, and it's scary that you've fed your delusion to the point where you are scared to mention the details of your death. You can decide whether you want to believe in your powers or take your life back into your own hands.

My disbelief is 6th senses comes from your very statement in how everyone who's claimed to have these powers never do much to prove it, and that most of it is based on rapid profiling of people and making educated guesses based on the people. There are defiantly things we don't understand about our own brains, and I believe that, if people would be able to see the future and so forth: I believe it's something we'd never be able to actively control.

Everything I've seen has all been from only my perspective, I've never seen any event from another's perspective

My reason for not not sharing my death dreams isn't because I'm terrified of it, but because people I have told have responded in very negative ways.
My death: I'm shot multi times (I believe 3 times) in a subway station when chasing after someone (who I don't know) There is a crowd of people runing against me (going the opposite way I'm going) the tracks are on my right side, The person I'm chasing isn't a family member or a friend of mine (that's my feelings) Who I'm chasing and why I'm still not positive on. In all the choas I get shot, but I have no idea from what direction. I'm pretty sure one of the 3 shots is through one of my lungs, the other 2 are in the stomach area and in my thigh.

I'll leave it at that for now, I have alot more details written down, but I figure that's enough for someone to pick apart at, or whatever

Whether or not psychic shit and whatnot exists, I kind of look at it this way. Imagine someone placing an entire set of encyclopedias in front of you, saying you're only allowed to read one page that's randomly chosen. After viewing that page, will you know the entire contents of the rest of that book and all others? Would imagine not. Just exchange book with event, and set with the entirety of the cosmos.

We can't really say for sure that nobody's ever had a successful dream about winning lotto numbers and the like. Odds are if they did and were smart about it, they probably wouldn't open their yaps, either. It's bad enough getting people on your ass mooching for cash, but then they'd want you to give them some kind of prediction.

Fortunetelling has been broken down into entertainment for those who can pull off the swindling well. Be it reading people, manipulating outcomes, or just plain doing research and maybe having a photographic memory. I'd like to believe it is, just in a sort of, "That's cool!" kind of way, but we don't know what such an ability would do to people if it did exist. We may call 'em nuts and dismiss it, even.
