Does that include Ninjitsu, bard songs, etc?

You know, I just thought- pardon the ZAMness - that maybe they trigger their "supercharge" mode off of which spells they can cast?

In other words, Slow the RDM or WHM, it goes into rage mode as it's a spell it can cast- Hojo it and it doesn't?

Jungle Boogeymen only, havent done another BC in 2 years.

Enfeebling Torque is 800k, Wind is 500k, Elemental is 150-200k, depending on RMT influence at the time >.>

Possible pool of 8 torques, 2 are guaranteed per run. Elemental Ores also drop from the BC, albeit infrequently. Only been straight screwed on drops twice in 2 years, (double shit torques). Best BC for money that isnt like playing the lottery, imo.

The rage is not based on casting magic on it, it is either timed or related to their 2hrs. We saw it rage with no magic used before, and have since used magic on it without having it rage.

K-Club NM fight we went in as Pld/Nin, Sam/Thf, and Drg/Blu. So odd combinations definitely work on that fight. As long as your Paladin isn't a moron you should be fine.

    Whats your setup for this?

I'm looking for a BCNM to do too. Hoping to duo or trio one.

Duo/trio wouldnt be easy, its against 4 sleepable Tonberrys, but ones a Nin and ones a Smn, and they all 2hr. If ur gonna go in with less than 6, id recommend Nin, DD, Rdm, Blm, at least 4.

    Agree with not duoing/trioing.

I've done this 1 as pld/sam/whm/blm many times. Just be sure to have 1 person exit the BC before you hit the chest so you don't have to relight the torches every time.

This is what we do and it's pretty easy. NIN BLU RDM BLM, they go down quickly and no risk.

So I take it the drop rate for PRope from WWW hasn't been nerfed? I used to spam it a few years ago and got a rope essentially 75-80% of the time (back when they sold for over a mil)

Is there anyone else who can give a definitive answer about this? There are a lot of differing opinions about spells causing them to rage, and it'd be helpful to know before a lot of us go and try this KS.

Sounds like the person who says they don't cause rage has actually tested it, and the others are going on hearsay and placebo.

Maybe it was just bad timing and he was gonna rage anyway, but our drk hit stun on the king and he went batshit crazy. Started clocking me (PLD/WAR) for 600+. We won, but it was ugly. So no, I dont have a DEFINITE answer to your question, but I lean on the lil experience I got.

So when they do rage, what can you do, how long does it last?

AFAIK the rage is permanent. With my groups current strategy, it's actually quite common to see the rage, but it is usually in the vicinity of ~10%, which is definitely manageable. Early on we wiped to a bad rage a time or 2 (was when it would use it's 2hr around 70-75% instead of 50-60%), now if we see an early 2hr, we try to compensate and use a 2hr ourselves. In any case, once the king dies, you have pretty much won.

We definitely debuff the king now, and we always see rages well after it uses its 2hr (I've never actually sat down and timed it, but it's usually very close to when it stops instant casting crap from chainspell, and it's definitely not immediately after a spell cast on it.

i duo UiA only bc it at least gaurentees a return of 50k on npcable crap. my duo partner and i are 0/90+ so far, as well as being 0/who knows how many more on ones we've merced for other ppl. the only reason i do this is that getting just 1 other person organized is a lot easier then organizing 6 ppl, and we only have to sit there to do 2 runs, so its not so much of a time committment.

Speaking from experience, the Up in Arms BCNM is best done with a RDM and either two SAM/RNGs, two RNGs, or a mix of a job that can kite(PLD does this best unless NIN has awesome hate capabilites) and a job that can deal damage(SAM/RNG, RNG, or BLM usually).

It's not hard really, just need the RDM to make sure he's kept gravitied at all times.

By the way, 1/1 on Kraken Club.

Another good BCNM I've done recently is Hostile Herbivores. It's 50 cap. It's really easy. Just need 2 kiters, 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 dd. DD's bring Poison pots for Sheep song. We did 6 runs and noone got lower than 200k. It's very consistant.

I'm going to make it a personal mission to figure out how to solo/duo one of these BC. I know its kind of a, "Well yeah, that's the idea" thing, but its really obnoxious that you can only solo the one's that offer zero consistency.

Then again, ODS used to be profitable, so I guess that speaks volumes about what happens when it becomes subject to monolopy.

I've never melee'd UIA, always do it with BLM BLM BRD or 3x BLM, that BC can go die in a fire -_- One time we killed it and a kclub dropped. Not mine. (Did destroy the bunnies outside with it, very fun).

Tried Royale Ramble once...wiped over and over again with a really bad pickup group. I don't think I would bother trying it again even with a 100% o.ingot drop. I much prefer Prehistoric Pigeons when talking KSNM, the drops are superior, and the droprates are pretty good. Certainly better than that ODS crapfest that people keep wasting seals on (how many times have I done that and gotten ~10-15k in drops)... However that one utilizes best a manaburn strategy, so if you don't have BLM I can't really reccommend any other way personally.
