1 point per window
1 point for claim
or just do Odin. Lol. 1 point for ontime, 2 point for win.
Then don't give points when you can't.
Karasu uses a very in-depth DKP with a gigantic rulebook. If you're interested, let me know and I can help you set up something conceptually. I've got a few ideas floating around for a different system but unfortunately, mine has been in place so long it's hard to just up and revamp it.
I think he means that everyone gets the 1 point when the LS claims, not just the claimer. That's how my shell works anyway, except it's 2 points for camping (we don't count separate windows, from what I've understood council uses discretion though that if someone shows up late they get 1 or 0.5 points only) and then 1 point if we claim+kill.
My jp ls system:
2 points for 1st window
1 point for each additional window
2 points for kill for everyone that was at camp
Slight Bonus for people that show up in time and also Focus on windows.
Lotting is auctioned.
D ring 1000 points usually
E body Ridill A body usually goes for around 500 points during auction.
M body 250 ish
Aegisjhalmr , Andvaranauts , pixie earring ,sipar = mostly free lot
BB items other stuff goes for 1~50 points max
check out www.ambitionls.com => dkp .. its super easy and fair system..
super easy maybe. fair? not even close.
EQDKP is just about the worst point system widely in use today. about the only thing I'd use it for is if I wanted to rob my ls blind while making it look like it was all on the up and up.*
to the OP, I'd be willing to help you set up something conceptually too if you'd like. just shoot me a PM.
*this isn't to say that you can't make EQDKP work successfully, just that the system is so open to abuse from so many angles it isn't worth using without heavy modification, and by the time you're done with all the band-aids you'd have been better off using a different system.
*cough*rollchan*cough*
My ls uses eqdkp to keep track of attendance, then uses a wish list + officer discretion.
1 point for a camp, regardless of claim, a maximum of 1 point for a camp (nothing extra for 2 boxing an event) however one is given an additional point if at multiple camps at once.
No points are deducted, the dkp is just so we can keep track of who attended what. For events such as limbus we have people seacom which boss drops they want, then combine that with wish list and attendance to determine who gets what.
Oh and if noone is on the list, the item is sold before free lotted, forces people to make decisions on what gear they want.
Serious question, how many shells give extra points to those who bot?
DKP systems are really not bad at all, but they require more than just point rewards for doing X event. You need a really concise system of rules to go hand-in-hand with the points. It takes a lot of work to make something fair and balanced. Even my own LS admits our system is not perfect and we perform monthly adjustments to the system to keep it in check and update the rules.
It works for us, it may not work for you. That's pretty much the general consensus.
could have sworn it was www.amBOTion.com
oh wait, no that's just what you guys do.
There's an open-source modified EQDKP for FFDKP;
http://code.google.com/p/ffdkp/
If you're interested, thats a pretty 'ok' system for the most part but it still needs some work. If you know some PHP you can enhance that quite easily.
The trigger tracking feature on it is cool and all but I think overall it needs some work. Am considering sending that guy a bunch of suggestions but I think that each linkshell works so differently that it'd be difficult to create a "stock" DKP for FFXI anyway.
