TF2 Heavy Update Coming Tuesday, Aug 19

Hey all... A bunch of my friends and I just started our own TF2 server. So far we have a bunch of custom maps in rotation and will be adding sourcemod plugins this week.

If anyone is interested in using it, please feel free. ATM it's kinda hard to get people to join since there are too many TF2 servers and too little people playing. We all used to play on Necrophix.com's server, but that thing is jam packed during peak hours. We're basically trying to recreate that experience.

We have a Steam Community Group and we play pretty often during the weeknights and sometimes for long stretches on the weekends.

So, my friend recently gave me a 3-day guest pass to this game and said I should try it. I'm not really a big fan of most FPS, but this game is awesome.

Stupid question though, I constantly get Auto-D/C'd and I'm just wondering if it's because I'm on the three day guest pass? Soon as I'm able to, I'm dropping the cash for this game, it's kickass.

Do you get a message when you d/c? Normally it will tell you if you were d/c because your Ping was too high, whether someone with a reserved spot joined etc.

The usual d/c becaus of connection fail is/was a 30second countdown on the top-right corner of the screen. Not played in a while so it might have changed.

Yea, it's the "Connection Problem: Auto Disconnect in 30 seconds" then it counts down. It'll tell me for spot reservation and I've been trying to stay on East Coast servers as well, where I am, and this is like the only game I ever get DC'd in. Every other game I play I've had up for several hours while AFK. This game I can hardly play for 15~20 minutes before it auto-DCs me.

FFXI, WoW, ect. I'm hoping it's just because Steam are cuntbags and did this to people who get the guest pass. Oh well, it won't be for long I'm hoping.

(FFXI was on ps2 but same internet connection.)

Great for snipers too!

Great for engineers too still. Put a heavy with the upgraded gun in a room with a sentry and it's instant death for anything turning the corner.

You know, i played this after the update n i got pissed and closed it. 24/7 2fort and my team (red) was all heavies, so the blue switched to Engineers/Scouts and raped us

Well, the amount I played only an average of 2 heavies on each side. This was a couple of days ago also.
