It's not a "bug", it's a "feature".
It's not a "bug", it's a "feature".
What prep? "Get a good nights rest, you have 18-24hours of Pandemonium ahead of you tomorrow?"
Why have a unique-skinned Dvergyr if that isnt his 'true' form? If Odin and Alexander were forms - why wouldnt he have continued the pattern (cackle stun) before staying in his real form for so long?
Community perception across the board says AV is 'impossible', just like player perception is starting to lean towards PW being more trouble than hes worth. When the developers are going around saying 'grave challenge', you know they mean this is right up AVs alley. Thats all that matters in the end - Community perception - what SE feels doesnt matter because SE isnt the one playing the content, they are supposed to tailor the content around the players, using to the past as examples of what not to do.
The reason everyones getting anal about this monster is because its been what? 3years since AVs debut and we got 1 video and basically a 'expect a RL day on this fight' from Sundi. They *know* players cant beat it but still hold to the idea that one day it will be, when im sure they can see that most people abandon any AV spawns.
It means AV will never be fixed and eventually if things repeat themselves Pandy in 2011 will be getting a video where SE tells you to expect "yet another RL day fight", chat logs are zoomed in upon and a Dragoon or Beastmaster will get the final hit on the mob just to shovel shit in the playerbases faces.
So thats two expansion packs that have content no one will ever touch and not because the content is hard.... simply because SE feels marathon grinds where people shit themselves is quality content.
I guess they want some spotlight since people have died playing EQ and WoW, or so it seems when someone tells you expect a 24hour fight in FFXI.
Does anyone know what the JP community happens to think about the whole "marathon" concept? Just curious...
It'd be nice if SE gave a "little" insight as to what it takes to take AV down, instead of just a poor video that explains nothing.
wow someone sure likes to throw the offensive stick without insight. Maybe you should of done this in a PM instead of being a fucking idiot on here.
Speculation? That's right, it is speculation. It is also speculation that you think that is the end of PW without PROOF. Do you even understand the theory of proof? I'm sorry if your middle school education is failing you, maybe you should be the one to get the fuck off. How can anyone say that's the last form without actually finishing it? There isn't even a logical comparison to justify the proof. Some people are so retarded.
Yes, prep as in get the alliance together, get the right job ready and ready to pop. Not like AV where everyone screams "OMFG AV POPPED!"What prep? "Get a good nights rest, you have 18-24hours of Pandemonium ahead of you tomorrow?"
Sure you can hold JoL so your paladin can change sub and get your parties ready. But who does that on every JoL?
they probably should just explain in words.. its been like over 3 years.. they should just let it go
PW's purpose is being fulfilled. Publicizing FFXI in online articles.
I honestly cannot see how PW could be 'bugged'.
PW would be a fantastically designed fight, if you could save your progress.
So how exactly would it be bugged?
PW shouldnt go through all the forms? Then why did SE bother adding them all in?
This fight is technically beatable, theres no 'trick' required, its just the time required is utterly stupid.
And I can only assume that this 'time required' aspect of the fight (along with AV) is SE's solution to the question "What can we actually do with this boss fight so that it will forever remain a -- DUHN DUHN DUUUUUHHN! -- 'grave challenge'?"
Innovative? Nope. Fun? Fuck no. Understandable all-things-considered? Ehhhhh... I wouldn't like to say. >.>
With the crappy update note and my poor standing in the contest, this is the only FFXI-related thing that brings me joy today. Something may actually come of our bitching, so go, smash this wasp's nest like a pinata. It is our duty to make this the biggest pain in the ass SE has ever encountered.
He'd probably just say it's clearest and greatest example of everything he's ever said about Mumorfrgrrs.
Why do people keep saying this?

# hallucinations (visual and auditory)
So you mean if I don't sleep I can get high!?
