Guitar help.

So I was playing on my bass a few months ago when the top strap screw fell out and I noticed this: (sorry for the shitty resolution, all I have is my iPhone for pictures)

Although the chipped paint sucks (which is from the strap locks I was using >_>) that hole is ~twice the size it should be for that screw. I've tried a few different things to keep it in, but it's not working at all. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Someone told me to try wood glue, but I can't imagine it holding it tight when the whole is as big as it is. I'm about to start up playing music again so I need to get this fixed as soon as I can, or at least have it hold long enough until I can get a second bass.

Maybe try a cork? THey also make that expanding plastic stuff.

screw it slightly to the above/below/left/right and fill in the busted hole with epoxy or sawdust+woodglue mix?

that stuff will bond anything stronger then general epoxy.
