I read that the Fortifications are lv. 50, at what point if any do the skill up stop? My RDM has Sword skill of 212 and I would like to finish that skill off.

** I looked for the answer and couldn't find anything.

I whacked every fortification outside of CN, La Vaule, Beaudeaux, etc and have'nt gotten a single skill up. Mine is 204.

You're not going to get skillups at 200+ off Fortifications. Brittle rocks, Lebros Cavern Assaults. Capped my sword skill on RDM that way.

It works, you can 4-man it, grab some AP for other stuff, and there's sellable AP items from that area that'll make you a decent amount of change. If you don't spend your Assault tags elsewhere, it's not a bad way to burn em.

The reason for dungeons is because campaign enemies attack you now for engaging a fort without tags on (imps dont).

Seriously, since when? I remember attempting to skill up GKT for laughs on my NIN maybe a month ago, and I wasn't attacked.

This is something of a dick move to anyone who just wanted lowbie AFK skill ups, tho.

BTW, I was under the impression that GAXE > Ridill + everything else. Guess I was wrong.

I usually get my buffer from campaign, nice and easy and doesn't take too long. Not to mention that I think there will be something worth getting in the end.
