I agree.. clearly you (Terra) have no understanding of the mental state these great athletes are in when they're performing. If Phelps feels he could shave even 5 hundreths of a second off a swim, it's going to bother him. And in his WR-breaking 200m butterfly, his goggles leaked water in which gave him discomfort; it's only natural to feel slightly frustrated, even if he did get gold and set the WR.

Even though Canada hasn't won any medals yet, many of the Canadian swimmers have set new Canadian records in Beijing and many of them have said in interviews how they strive to set personal bests and new records.

Don't care about swimming, but you can't deny what Phelps is doing is amazing. As long as women's volleyball doesn't get less air time for swimming I'm good....and since volleyball airs on USA mostly, we have no problems.
