I was talking to Beckwin about it before, but look at Obama and McCains Iran plan. They are both pretty much the same, but when McCain talks about it he sounds like he has the nukes already pointed there.

When Obama talks about it he makes people want to go eat at the local reparations funded soul food diner and drink sweet tea.

No, when Obama talks about he talks about talking to Iran instead of saber-rattling. He also speaks generally about foreign policy that avoids forcing democracy on people.

The commonality between McC and Obama on Iran is that neither really wants Iran to have nuclear missiles. The difference, a rather stark one, is how they plan to go about it.

Also, what's Russia's relation with Iran? I might be wrong, but aren't they on friendly-ish terms?

Obama still had the same hard line, in that Iran "won't" acquire further nuclear tech/weapons and any means will be used to stop that.

And Iran/Russia aren't exactly enemies.

Hmm isn't Iran currently in the early stages of their nuclear program? Don't you know not doing what we tell you to do is a way to provoke us?

In further news...

Ukraine gives the US and EU a soviet-built satellite facility to be used in their missile defense program after the agreement with Russia expires.

One can only hope it's the GoldenEye facility.
