Fable 2/Fable 2 Pub games

I like the magic and the guns alot, the sword combat is ok, but I agree block should have had its own button, each person will have their own enjoyments in the game and what thney get out of it. With the story I guess people are used to the standard RPG and it being fairly linear, I like haveing choices of when to progress and when to do other things personally. Which is why I said it was a 9.5 to me and not really a fanboy, Ive found a small thing here and there as far as problems but besides that it has been a really fun game. Kinda funny how people have failed to mention how innovative the dog is, anyway, back to checking out farcry 2.

it's not fable fanboyism (is there such a thing?), it's more the fact that every single review that dumbass Goldstein does conflicts itself several times, and the fact that he's almost universally wrong. and he does most of the AAA titles lately.

i haven't picked this up yet, but if he got the score right and what he said was wrong/retarded... that's about par for the course. hopefully i can see for myself tonight if i have time.

Just did the Crucible and had to say it was damn fun (and gobs of exp too!) Definitely my favorite part of the game so far!

btw How do you have sex with your wife I been too busy buying shops and doing quests to focus on it

Wow, this is not a good game to play anytime soon to when you should go to sleep. I only got the chance to get to Bowerstone last night and start making some money, buying two shops, and getting some nice new clothes.

The only things I find annoying so far are technical ones. There's a lot of slowdown when accessing the menu, at least in Bowerstone, and the camera just seems like it's panned too far away from me for my tastes. It's not like I'm playing on a tiny TV or anything (42" LG), but I just would have liked to been able to zoom the camera in a bit more.

So far it's ridiculously addicting; I can just see myself becoming the merchant king of Bowerstone before I even step out to complete my first quest lol

It's kinda funny I find so much shit to side track me I havent done much of the main quest outside of oakville, I like the amera think its fine and havent had trouble with menu's.

I actually really like the battle system although I do agree blocking should have a different button. I think it shines though in the sense that you can quickly switch from one fighting style to another and the results look pretty awesome in action.

@Elvis, I'm pretty sure it is one save/character considering any save option just goes automatically to your HDD. I haven't seen an option to change the "slot".

One question though...and this may be dumb because I didn't play Fable 1, but wtf am I supposed to do with the books (not the ability ones)? Should I be giving them as gifts for them to have some kind of effect or for like, the business books, should I sell them to shops?

You need to have the flirt interaction that is "Come Back to My Place" (think that is the name -- has a hot coffee logo lol'). I think you buy this ability in the book store, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Anyways, use that ability on your wife and if she accepts, walk to any bed (she'll follow) and when you choose to sleep it's sexy teim.

Well so far from what Ive seen she has got to want it, you have her follow you to the bedroom via the come to my place expression and you get it on.

My wife is pretty horny and ushualy wants it once a day, also just found my first legendary weapon!

Not sure about the books I just keep them in case.

Additionally, what's up with clothing and armour in Fable II. Is there even armour that gives you additional defense or other stats, or will cloth/leather/mail/plate all protect equally well and it's all just for aesthetics?

From what I understand, yes. However, I believe you need that emote to do so. It seems that the emote has two (rather obvious) results:

1) You get turned down - hear things like "I have a headache", "Only when I'm married", etc.

2) Offer is accepted vocally and whoever you asked has the follow icon appear over them. Then you can go to any bed from what I understand to, as the instruction booklet says "make good use of it".

I definitely need to start up a second hero and make him/her go totally evil just to see the differences. I'm planning my current character far too nobly.

There are no plate/armor sets in the game with defense rating, they did that so not everyone would look the same and you could wear what you want, each peice of armor does have diffrent boosts to it tho, on the description, like I have an assassins coat that gives evil +5% etc.

It;d end up like ffxi and everyone endgame looks the same an dthey didnt want that, take sthe customability out of the game.

Well i finally got flourishes, ive been focusing on guns more and I'd say the combat is excellent now, its really in depth and fun.
