I played the demo, looks pretty fun; with Too Human due tomorrow though I think I'll hold off for a bit, but do definitely plan to buy this. But after seeing the trailer, I definitely need the soundtrack nao.
*hops over to Demonoid*
Beat it over the weekend. It was full worth the 10 dollars.
The last level was made up by GRIN (the developers) and wasn't in the original. Man.. that shit was crazy. I first thought 7 lives would be alright. Nope. Fission Mailed. Went back and collected 13 lives, beat the game with 2 left. The 2nd part to that level is just ridiculous with the blind-ish jumps. Fun though. Unlocked Super Hard. Proceeded to play on hard mode.. man what a WORLD of difference. Enemies toss grenades, constantly looking for cover.. kind of like a whole different way of playing. I can't imagine what super hard is gonna be like.
I just tried the demo. Contra this is not lol. Can't jump or shoot up or diagnolly. The hook for an arm is cool but I'm sorry, if you can't jump in a game like this, then it fails big time.
Is it as hard as the contra game for the PS2 (the only good one)?
Edit: bleh @ no jump button.
It's not too bad, I don't remember the Contra PS2 game but in the NES games, if you got hit once, you're dead. This game you can take some hits. So in that category, it's better. Don't know much else.
Man, you guys just don't get it...the whole point of BC is that there is no jump button. It was written that way on purpose, right in the heyday of the mario crowd. It means you have to think a little instead of just going in like your typical platformer.![]()
there is a track on the soundtrack that mentions the no jumping.
"One Man, One Bionic Arm"
They lost their hero to the enemy, they were looking for the perfect soldier to rescue him, they found... some guy who couldn't even jump.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeV2j...eature=related I remember getting raped back in the days. I'll try commando though, the soundtrack sounds cool.
I remember this for the Game Boy (not the Game Boy Color version, the remake). Christ I loved that game back in the day. Granted I never played the NES version.
Blew through most of the boss battles already in one day, up to the Albatross on normal.
Bumping this because I thought I'd let those who own both systems know that this is playable thru Remote Play on your PSP.
Fun game, but you definitely had to have played the original to really enjoy it.
I loved the original on the NES. It was one of the first games I ever beat.
Necrobump from beyond teh graaaaaaaaave
If any of you love the soundtrack as much as I do, I figured I'd share this; made a ringtone out of the first part of the song 'Power Plant' cause it makes a nice repeatable loop that doesn't sound annoying as fuck when it rings on your phone.
To download it, get on your phone browser and head to http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/jump.php and use jumpcode 3112919.
Your phone will need to be able to play mp3 files; 215KB, 31 seconds.
Didn't want to have to do this myself. Thanks.
