Your entire comment makes very little sense, but what I DID understand was that you think that MY endgame experience shouldn't count for much because it's non-existent? What the hell are YOU doing? On to EO comments, people hated EO because we had a LOT of people and regularly cleared sky gods. We mainly did popped NMs, dynamis, limbus, so no, not much endgame, but we had fun, were friends, and got gear. In fact, a lot of the better players on Titan came from EO, which disbanded when most of our members moved over to WoW. Bladez and I did not and stayed doing limbus with Daijyea's group until we moved to Asura for Remedy. That was a year ago, and EO disbanded that previous December or January I believe. Before that, we were barely doing anything because people were trickling over to WoW. So, the fact that EO still has haters is more of an accomplishment to me than anything. I find it funny that out of all the dramatic faf-campers, people chose to hate on EO. ^_^

Now back to original topic, Ozz is right, any of the better LS's will want and have stronger personalities within it. He does have one, and it's worth at least a trial to see if it suits your group. Don't mind the haters, they're stuck in 2006.

I'm glad you're in a self-proclaimed best Asura HNMLS. Don't know anything about them so I can't say anything. There's a difference between a strong personality and being a widely known asshole. No one took EO seriously on Titan, because there weren't many skilled players there and recruiting half the server worth of players made your LS look pretty new. Oh and yes, some people are definitely in 2006- says the person who just entered HNMLS endgame.

Mura, the problem I had with what you said, the the subsequent information about where I am now was because of that snide little comment you made at me out of nowhere. And who cares about EO anymore, honestly, as funny as it is that people still hate EO, it's kind of sad as well, it was years ago, and they're gone. These threads are about what you know of a person, usually having to do with skill and personality, and nowhere does it specify that it is simply about endgame skills. The only time endgame got mentioned here was when you brought MY endgame experience into it and made it seem as though since I apparently didn't know endgame, my opinion wasn't valid. I pointed out where you were wrong, and all of a sudden my entire perspective on the guy is wrong because, by your standards, I've only been in endgame a little while? Oh, and because I wasn't around when he was in Particle. Please.

If you don't know end game experience from swat, why the hell say its worth to make him being tried out by the shell he applied too? People here was in end game LS's, THE REAL ONES. I think they know better than you Shalyn. When you were @ Titan you was in EO, which did NOTHING but sky. You can't judge a person by expin with him, could be all nice and stuff. If you actually knew the person you would say otherwise. Sure you do got end game experience, but that was after you changed servers. Sky=/=HNM.
By the way, nothing trying to make you an enemy of mine, but don't judge people by only exp with them few times. If I would judge that easy your BF would be hated by me, he exp'd in SH as RDM way back, never judged by the shit he used and I never will. Now look where he stands, in one of the best shells on your current server, that means he play good. Got my point?

I got the point, I'm not slow, but apparently the idea that this is a thread where you post any experience with somebody for the O.P. to decide on their own is being missed by you. I also stated that I had done some missions with him (he helped me and several people), that generally take some skill and was pretty nice of him, so it wasn't 'merely' some exp. Also, I can remember what happened, and so with my current knowledge of what happened back then, I can still say he was a pretty good player.
I'm not going to sit here arguing about this, it is up to the OP to decide the validity of my experience, not you people.

Seraphix/Tidond has never done any aspect of end game with me what so ever, so to talk about my criteria in endgame is irrelevant. I spoke to him about twice in a 3 year span and that is it. Mura for you to come at me saying I am not a good player is your opinion and entitled to it, doesn't really bother me what you say or think for that matter. The people that posted up about me saying negative statements are all friends obviously that is known. Instead of posting about things that relate to the topic your on going attempts to change the subject aren't working. I do thank you for your posts and still looking for anyway possible to get something on me. Also thank you to Shalyn, Ozz, for words kindness and a honest opinion.

Posting in your own BC always ends horribly. If you do not care about what people have to say, then don't post. To clear things up, I do not talk to Pandum or Muramasa whatsoever so I'm hardly teaming up on you. Also, it's a good thing it's just an opinion.

Hmm, I'm from Titan, I know Swat, and I do believe I'd like to post my opinion bout him.

So I've known swat for around 3 years now a decent amount of time if you ask me. I have done very little end game stuff with him. I've been in a few social linkshells with him tho. I've also done missions, NM's, exp parties, and various other stuff with him.

Now that you know how well I know him I do believe it's time i posted my opinion of him.

Swat is an ass I've heard that time and time again. I don't believe he's anymore an ass than any other person. We all have people that don't like us we all have people that we've done wrong on accident or whatnot, they will always call you an ass. Swat is not an ass, he's always been there to help me with whatever i needed be it NM, missions, or w/e. He's always treated me with respect and when he came into my social or i came into his we could joke around, and have a blast. He may be a bit harsh on some people at times, but nothing extreme and generally in their best interest.

Swat has no useful jobs/gear and is a bad player time for this one. Swat and me have pted a alot and I've seen his gear and his talent is exp parties. Bar none the best parties I've had were with Swat. We had fun, we gain alot of exp and their were no complications in the parties. Now not all the parties were great exp. Some of them we got a bit less exp cause he made parties with friends with some less popular jobs, but hey we had fun imo that's all that matters.

His gear is better than average, better than good, I think he has alot of great gear and knows what to equip when. I've pted with him when he was pld. Had a hell of a time just getting the mob to look at me, think i may have every 3rd or 4th mob? I tell you what i worked my nuts off to get it to turn to. XD

His drk, I've pt with him on that job, i was drg on birds, he kept up and even passed me in damage. I've pted with him on sam when he was drk. Once again he out did me. He also walks the hate line very well, pulling hate when the tank is in trouble or when the whm cures a bit too much. Then not pulling hate when everything is going well, yet doing great dmg.

His blm I'll be honest i haven't pt with him on blm, nor have i seen his gear so this one i can't say a thing about.

Swat stole from me. Pandum i don't want to make you mad I've known you for 2 years or so, but I've heard both sides of the story, and to be honest, I don't believe swat did it. He has had many chances to steal from me he never has. I've loaned him gil several times. Sometimes I've loaned him over 2 million, he's always paid me back and quickly at that. Always said thanks bro when returning the gil also. I just can't believe he'd return my gil and as quick as possible if he was a thief.

Now Swats knowledge on the game. You know everyone on this game they has a person that they ask questions from. None of us know everything. Swat was the guy I always went to. He is very knowledgeable of FFXI and explains it in a way that I understand completely. His info has always been correct and generally offers to help me do whatever I'm asking about what an ass! I don't care what the subject was dynamis, he knew Sky, he knew, HNML, you guessed it, he knew.

In closing (yeah this is long winded i know @.@) Swat is a hell of a guy, and a hell of a player. Fun to be around, and easy to joke around with. He doesn't take crap from anyone and I can't fault him for that. He's an alpha male confident, and in charge. If you ask me he would be a great asset to any linkshell or to just have as a friend. I know this is a long post but I don't believe I've said enough about him.

Can't say I know A LOT about your end game experience. I've seen you in action, you play your PLD just fine. But come on? I'm not blind to see you got your shit and left. You supposedly was a success full shell leader of your new sky shell/HNM with sorvelias?If you was so damn success full, how come you never did anything big on titan with your own LS. To OP, sure let him tryout, but do you want a person who gets stuff then leave right after? I can't see there's loyal in that. I remember very well after hauteclaire from particle you left in a rush and made powerhouse. And from my point of view I think that's very greedy. Now, you said in your own post that I can't judge you because I don't have end game experience with/from you. Why let shalyn/ozz defend you? You know very well them both were in EO. Their words means nothing if mine doesn't.
However, by all mean, I do wish you good luck out there and hope you find your own home. If I don't like you doesn't mean others wont like you either.

well tbh loads of members left because of you, the only reason why they kept you around sadly was because you where the only brd in the ls. You pissed loads of people off to the point where they didn't even wanna be in the ls. Maybe you knew this and didn't care or your just hearing it for the first time. Now for telling me to go fuck off... You should of said the story like it was, We did a sky run and I had Blisted Pandum for a reason I will not say... He died, I came as whm and he Demanded/requested a Raise III. A Pld went to give him a Raise 1. When I turned him down on giving him a Raise III he bitched and HPed telling me to fuck off. (love ya too pandum =p) Swat had enough of his bad mouthing and pissing the other linkshell members off that he booted him. Oh and I was not his In game girlfriend at that point, I was his rl girlfriend... wow you know a lot about swat!

Now for most of you that are/is saying that swat is bad at his job... You and I both know that is a flat out lie. You guys are right on one thing tho... He can be an ass at times but like sake said...

He is not a bad guy, He has helped out soo many people. I can tell you loads of times where he has helped me out... (b4 i met him or really spoke to him) I had like 200/200 people on my friends list... I was camping Charby... camped him 2 weeks str8 and got most of my "Friends" their joytoy. No one would come out to help me that had gotten their sword... (sounds like this happen to you at one point?) So I went down the list "hey can you help me" /telling all my friends (I never really asked for help for myself I figured they would of assumed that it would have been a big deal... I'm always helping them yaknow =p) So I get to S on my FL HAHA >.> and he asked me if it was up... Said yes... he didn't take long to get other friends to help him help me. That is just one story. I could say others.

He joined Feb 2006. the reason of his leaving was of his own reasons and should not be faulted on that. People bitch making it seem like Particle was their own linkshell. Ok, so first to get my qualifications out of the way, since that seems to be of life or death importance to some people...

I have done sky and dynamis and that's about it for endgame. I've never been with a group that has gotten a claim on ground HNM, I don't have sea, and I don't have a ton of endgame gear that makes me look all uber and stuff.

My experience with Swat has been in dynamis and in a social setting. In dynamis I found him to be a good tank. I was his WHM, and he never lost hate despite all my cure bombs (which weren't many actually, he's good at keeping his own HP up). In a social setting he was easy to get along with and fun to chat with. I don't know about him being an ass, because I have never seen him be an ass (but hey, it can happen, even the best people have their moments of thin patience). I've not seen him play on DRK or BLM, but he is a good PLD and knows his job well, so I imagine that trait would extend over to other jobs as well.

All in all I would call him a good player and a good a good guy, and, if I had voting privileges in an LS I would vote yea on his application.
