It's a freakin' small ass Texas town. You really think that if no shootings happen there, larger school districts, with armed police presence already in place, will adopt the same policies? You gotta be kidding me.

Whether or not they want to is one thing, but at least now they'd have a precedent and some excuse if they did want to.

I don't even agree with Khamisan but you just completely whiffed on what he said. There are a ton of small district schools without police presence, they're not all large scale schools, especially in rural USA.

Well, it tends to be a harder sale over there.

But then, they probably all carry semiautomatics and uzis over there, anyways. They don't need rocks.

Gun's not going to help you with that; life is unpredictable, you may die today or any day, so you might as well get over it and stop living in fear.

Well here's the problem with that. How can you determine a success in their situation? I didn't see anything about school shootings or any other violence on school grounds in the article, just a fear of it.

Who's to say that this policy really detoured anything or not implementing it would've resulted in a violent incident.

That's what I'm sure any larger school district, as well as smaller ones, would take into account when evaluating this policy's success/failure.

the point here is a cop being a jackass as nothing to do with the government using force (i.e the feds didnt order mass-tazing...or did they...?)

If the government wants to really use force, it doesn't use cops to use it

And why would you want anti-elephant rocks? Elephants rock

it's the government that gives police power. it's a power you aren't really allowed to fight back against either- I mean if Joe Schmoe tackles you off your bike, you're allowed to defend yourself or at the very least, get the hell away from him. Hell, just look at the phrase "law enforcement"... c'mon, denying that police have privilege of force, granted by government, just makes you look really silly.
