Tried and failed, due to flee timers. Maybe with flee boots. This door has tons of HP. Also, as we're killing not many mobs on 1F, none on 2F, we still need a few cells from 3F gears, usually a few stats cells and ring leg waist.

I was the Red Mage for all of these runs. I went as RDM/BLU for a few reasons. I was always pulling, so Cocoon was fantastic for that. I also have a decent melee set, which helped push through 1F + 2F much quicker and Blue Mage subjob gives you access to Vorpal Blade. Healing Breeze is also highly efficient, which was good because we didn't have a second WHM or whatever for when GG got spammy.

1F - Farm all four rooms out as quickly as you can. You will need the cells to clear Hammerblow room, you really shouldn't skip any. The MNK should be getting most of the gear first(typical Salvage method anyways). When you've cleared the four rooms, it's time for Hammerblow room. Phalanx II is required for this part, at least the way I do it. Fully geared MNK with Protect + Phalanx II shouldn't take much damage from the fomor, so just buff up and have him charge in first. You should kill the RDM fomor first, Dispel and other spells can be obnoxious. One of the fomor TP moves is defense -50%(will also overwrite Cocoon), so your Bard will need to pay attention with Erase. Vicar's drinks are also handy for this.

You really don't need to do anything beyond that. No Terra Staff, no Arhat's, etc. It is not necessary and will just slow you down.
Just curious, if you we're going as RDM/BLU wouldn't it have been easier for you to 'supertank' all fomor instead of the MNK? I'm sure with a taco/cocoon/p4/phal(2?)/ss you would take less damage then the MNK would, even more so if you equipped a terra's, although you said you we're DDing aswell to improve kill speed.

Just did a 5-man with all 4 NMs. Could have gone better, but it wasn't too bad.

    MNK THF RDM BRD BLU.

Killed 2 rooms of fomors, then had the BLU supertank the fomors. He died while we were finishing the third fomor, because Aegis Schism landed and the RDM couldn't get Erase off in time. Minor oversight, didn't slow us down too much.

Just a little tip though, the RNGs ranged hits hit for huge amounts, kill that first, then the RDMs if you're super tanking. Dispel wasn't nearly as much of a threat as this. Diamondhide overwrites itself so he could just recast it every time it was up. When it wasn't up, he was being hit for 4-16, which while not ideal, worked for us. With another piece of gear or two he would have been fine.

Anyway, 1F took is something like 29min, and then 2F was pretty quick with Batardeau (another couple months to Mandau ) and a very well geared MNK. Helped that I had STR DEX AGI and CHR all unlocked for some killer DEs. We had the BRD pulling. I never realized how much Dispel helped on these fomor, apparently they all had protect up. I shoulda figured as much but *shrug*. I think that was a total of about 23min or so.

3F was very quick with the gears, having Head Butt for Restoral and Artificial Gravity, and 1500~2000 damage shark bites (why does Shark Bite work so much better than Dancing Edge on these, even at 100% TP?). The stationary Rampart took about 4 minutes with Hundred Fists.

We had something like 22-23min left for Citadel floor, and I would recommend using THF for this pull. I had no idea that with a simple Fanatic's Drink and Perfect Dodge, I could run in there, PD once I started getting hit, gather up the room, use Fanatic's, run the gears back the other way a little, then flee out and completely lose aggro. Gonna use that every run from now on since previously I'd log out after collecting the room up, wasting time to log back in and it'd clear my buffs.

Killed Citadel with about 1min left, no drops throughout the run. Could do this easily with MNK MNK BRD RDM, but I see no point without a THF. Would have been a little short on time without the BLU I think though, today. :/

On 1F you wasted more than 9 minutes, <20 minutes is standard timing for 3 melees depending on #of weapon and abilities.

Not exactly. Gear is going to the melee first to improve how quickly we can move through mobs. You need a good amount of base defense before Cocoon and defense food really shine. I'd have to get lucky to have this seeing as how I typically only have a few pieces of armor at that point. Monks also have Counter and will get a decent amount of TP from sponging all of the weak hits. Either way, it's faster, simpler, and overall much better to just have the melee do it.

We usually take 17-18min on 1F in normal group. However, since our BLU was planning to supertank and we gave the MNK all the gear first, we ended up having to kill an extra room (which we needed anyway for a second magic cell). Besides, BLU isn't really a melee in salvage, no matter how good you are. All it's good for is blocking gear TP moves.

Looking back on it, and/or doing it again, I'd probably just clear 3 fomors and do the end room with MNK THF RDM BRD, and could probably clear everything else as fast or nearly as fast as we did, essentially doing what Mojo suggested. Without RDM pulling (BRD instead) though. I still don't get how MNK can get hit for that little though, the things hit fucking hard and MP isn't exactly plentiful on that floor. :/ I imagine the MNK would get hit for around 15-25 damage per hit depending on the mob, and the RNG would still shoot for ~70. That's way too much damage with 8 smacks per attack round at the start (6 + the 2 extra hits from the two MNKs).

Hm, I know she has a repose set up and a lot of the whm enfeebing skill pieces. Not sure if it would match a rdm but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

If you want to, I can try and sleep a gear/rampart with/without any enfeebling gear next run to see how well it lands. It all depends on whether or not I get ability/SJ though.

    Fyi.

Repose is based on Divine skill, not enfeebling.
