    ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard
    4GB OCZ DDR2-800 RAM
    320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 HDD
    500GB Lacie external HDD
ATI Radeon X1950XT (Zalman GPU cooler)

    Logitech G15 keyboard (first version)
    Logitech G5 mouse (first version)
    Altec Lansing VS4121 2.1 speakers
    LG 204WT 20.1" WS LCD
Sharp Aquos 42" LCD (64U) secondary display (used for HD movie playback)

I want to build a new rig (this one is only a year and a half old) for... well, just for fun honestly. =D I'd use it for 2boxing in XI instead of using PS2 and random other stuff, then format and sell it off. I mainly want to learn how to OC this CPU to get the most I can out of it. If I can, I'd probably upgrade CPU coolers to an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 or something, and my video card to a HD4870 and just keep this PC going.

    EDIT: I swear I didn't tidy up >_>

Last PC I built from scratch (parts bought from online stores mostly) ended up a slight disaster. Back then I got an 'almost' top of the line radeon8500 which apparently was clocked higher then it could actually manage. From the beginning I always had the problem of it giving me a blue screen after a few seconds/minutes playing pretty much any 3D/demanding game. I ended up have to downclock it for it to be stable to play on. Ever since I've said fuck it to assembling my own PC and just let the local hardware store fix it. If its broke I actually have a place the send the PC to where they can test it instead of having to send the part over by mail to the internet shop, if thats even possible at all.

Looking through this thread makes me sadface. I'm like the only antique player who actually still has a CRT 17" Philips Brilliance 107T. Back then I still played games at 800x600 or lower anyhow (used to play q3a competatively, so got used to lego-settings). I got no idea of my exact specs except that its an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ with 1Gb memory and a radeon x800xl gfx card. I really need to upgrade these days, its just quite and investment ><

What is a good roomy case with a removable motherboard tray? My 2 year old PC is in a Lian-li 60b Plus II or somesuch, nice black finish and removable tray, but it was a bit hard to get everything in the case.

It's a 15w PSU I have for a 120mm tricool that moves around the desk for my hands or PS3 if needed. The PSU is also used when I do 12v work so I can test out LEDs/fan/etc without opening my computer.

My old PC is hooked up through the TV. My main pc is through the dual monitors. Even though I have 3 pcs, I find it easier to use all 6 characters through the main pc by clicking on windows rather than playing musical mouse/keyboard and have to keep turning my body. The 3 gaming systems are all on different inputs to the TV. It is the biggest clusterfuck of wires I have ever seen hidden behind the gaming system cart and pc tower in the back, left corner.

So it took longer than I expected to get some new photos taken and uploaded, but as I said moar picz:

    my desktop:

the monitor is a Samsung 22", and I absolutely adore it. the speakers are a Logitech 5.1 surround unit, and for the price, can't be beaten.

    side panel removed:

I'd put LEDs in my PC if I didn't sleep in the same room as it.

Seeing all of these badass custom PCs makes me wish I felt safe building one. I know they fit together with Lego-like simplicity, but I know nothing about proper power supplies, fan placement/type, etc. I had a friend who, under the supervision of an obviously not-so-knowledgable coworker (Best Buy) at the time, built a PC.. and fried 3 motherboards before he got it working reliably. ..I tell myself I'll learn how to build a PC before D3 comes out. >.>

But either way, I like seeing these sharp setups.. keep them coming! I really like Koyuki's monitor (yay ViewSonic!) and PC case.

Well I have no clue, but i don't think PS3 is built for on its side, which i know Xbox360 was built for it. But thats just my opinion
