4 haste is pretty significant, I don't really see an issue sitting in yellow hp for merit/limbus/dyna fodder considering I used to play a taru and I'm only like 80 hp below what my max was then xD

Earlier this week we did Bhaflau 2 days in a row. Desi got his feet on the first one, and then they dropped again the next day. It was pretty sick. Milkies also finished his cuffs when I got my feet. Zoii finished his robe this morning, too. Fuckin' rats finally put out. We've been bending Salvage over and making it our bitch lately. lol =)

And my Ninja isn't a tank, it's purely for [insert bullshit here].

Ethereal is far from useless on NIN/DRK. +5Eva and a bit extra MP when hit is nice. Obviously swap other shit in for spells, not much else better for Idle though. and Boxer's Idle/Utsu, Cerb for Spells.

Obviously a couple posters forgot about macro swaps.

Not sure how you play NIN/DRK, but the only "idle" phases I get significantly longer than the delay between spellcasts are when either my support mages slip up or when I can't cast because of shadow management against a Stun-resistant HNM.

Ethereal may not be useless, but the only time it's going to be better for you than an enmity earring is for your OSHI macro, and even then it's just building back a tiny bit of buffer MP for Refresh/Ballad dropping.

+13% haste is enough to max your recast with march/march and haste, and then just enmity in every other slot. I swap to DMG-% and DEF gear when I'm going to take a hit, and change my gear around if I'm holding an NM without a bard.

I get stuck with March/March way too often because of co-tanking with PLD/NINs with conventional builds. March/Ballad and maxing out your haste gear is a much, much better way for NIN/DRK to tank, if you can talk your alliance into it.

Lol, Used to giving Ballad2/March. Never have done march/march cause no one seemed to prefer it over ballad for anything HNM wise Figured as nin/drk with low mp pool it'd be the better option.

I've never tried it, but I normally just go with what's most effective for the both of us. I can deal with march/march instead of an extra ballad since the PLD needs it. And either way, Stun>Bind>Sleep>Kurayami>Hojo and my stun is back up and so is my MP to use it.

Dunno how you guys are using so much mp that you need ballad on ninja, absorb spell spam?

Enough haste gear to cap recasts with march/march/haste and wear more enmity. With constant refresh and maybe a devotion down the line it's not difficult to keep hate and enough mp to keep casting. I also have a max haste gear build but don't really use it much.

Also, I got my ethereal earring for nin/drk, but generally just use Loq and Eris' +1 now.
