To suggest you need a job at 75 to understand it or to form an opinion on various gear choices is retarded. Also based on his ffxiah profile he has 2 jobs that would be commonly found in a tp burn merit party so I dare say he has partied against some soboro sams (just a guess as I think anyone with a decent number of merits for 3 jobs would have) so he probably does have some experience there. Then consider the fact that he may have levelled 1, 2 or even all 3 of his jobs with soboro sams, its pretty hard not to encounter atleast several (some multiple times) on the road to 75.

Also, Soboro even at level 50 doesn't really make you do any more damage than a standard delay/dmg GKT.

Soboro averages 2 swings/attack round, a normal GK averages 1.1 with WAR sub(which you should have) pre-brutal. The first comparable great katana is Zanbato+1 at level 61(74 base damage x 1.1 = 81.4, while soboro's 2x 40 = 80). Realistically, soboro will top parse until hagun or onimaru at 72 and 73 respectively, due to fSTR and WS mods bumping up both weapons equally and as such giving nearly twice the bonus to soboro they give to another GK. The obvious downside to soboro is that it feeds the mob TP, which may make it less desirable in some exp situations.. but arguing that it has inferior damage is silly. I'll agree you don't need a job leveled to form an opinion, but I have yet to see Mitsukai post anything accurate so..

Leveling jobs comes in two tiers; 37 and 75. When one complains about being "only 37" it becomes inferential that the other meaning is 75.
