Batman: Arkham Asylum

Saw this in the new issue of game informer. Looks very badass. Entire game takes place inside Arkham itself. Writers from The animated series are on board. Rumors going around the guy that did batman for the series is reprising his role, as is Mark Hamill for joker. Game is supposed to be a mix of investigative / fighting / "stealth". I say "stealth" because it was described as predator gameplay; hiding in the shadows and preying on the bad guys, making them freak out.

So far the bad guy roster is Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Szesz(sp?), riddler, penguin. Didn't see a picture here, but the pic of Croc on game informer was astounding. He just towers over batman and make's him look tiny. I have very high hopes for this one.

the predator/stealth mechanic sounds very cool. No gay ass fear meters or anything. Grapple to the ceiling, wait for a bad guy to come underneath, drop and hang him from the ceiling by his feet. Jump back into shadows, rest of the guys start freaking out. Pop out, knock a guy out, hide again. Rest of the bad guys start firing blindly and acting nuts from their buddies dropping around them.

Investigative portion sounds decent too. Use fingerprint scanners to detect who in the compound has certain files, no colored arrows or anything, stuff like that.

Basic premise of the game is, joker willingly let himself get captured and taken to arkham, once inside he breaks free and runs loose for some unknown purpose. Creators are going very deep into the mythos; Joker even uses Smilex gas. (All this taken from the game informer article, btw).

That is the best take of the Croc I have EVER seen. I loved Croc, and wow, it's the best he's ever been. I was actually thinking Croc for the next batman movie, god if it's done it better be done this way.

Croc looks a little over the top imo, looks bigger than what Bane could be, which isn't how it is in the comics.
