Suikoden Tierkreis' voiceacting was better than Suikoden IV's imo.
Suikoden Tierkreis hero looked a lot better than the one in Suikoden IV.

If you want something worth playing right now, and you're an old school gamer, honestly, you're looking at VP DS and Pokemans, and maybe Avalon Code.

I was autoattacking every battle, includes bosses, in Suiko, and the plot is not all that amazingly stellar--I'd give it a 6/10 at a maximum due to what it was able to do on the DS, but no more. Bland, generic, boring RPG gameplay-wise.

Er, yea. My bad. Brain was still on FF mode since all I've pretty much played on the DS have been FF games, like Tactics and 3+4, so I got them mixed up somehow. qq

suiko DS voice acting, english anyway, is the most trashy voice acting I've seen in a long time for an RPG

sure there's a lot of it, but it all fails miserably.

I'd have to finish Tierkris before I compared it to IV, but I get the feeling it would be a tough comparison anyway. IV has more of the classic elements like runes that I love, but Tierkris seems to have better characters and a story that is better overall.

I never played Tactics, I own it but just haven't gotten around to it. A lot of fans have said that it's actually better than IV though, and that they improve on the characterization and story issues that plagued IV so badly.

I thought it was pretty good, though yeah, it's on the waaay too easy side of the rpg spectrum

i think the most challenging fight i've found myself in is when i forgot to reset party formation with mostly sword user...fighting with essentially a party of 2 wasn;t fun at all :/

Battle system in 3 makes you want to stab your eyes out (until you get far enough into the game you can abuse skills, <3 juan lolz)

specifically, google no$gba 2.6a the paid version. I can verify the game works and is completely playable. The FPS dips a bit but is a minor issue.

I think you mean 2.6a? At least that's the version I'm using that works fine. Yeah some places the fps drops but worrying about fps in a turn-based rpg game is lol.

Yea, for some reason google showed me 3.6b first, lol. Also, there is an un-dub available which will replace the english voices with japanese ones. I never heard the english voices, but after reading about them in this thread I opted for the undub.

After hearing how awful the voices were within about 1 hour of it being on the internets, I definitely waited for an undub.

Still disappointed with game overall, even if the voices don't fucking suck now.

The game isn't bad though. I wouldn't expect anything amazing and innovative to come in a DS game while still keeping true to past Suikodens. I still feel like I'm playing a Suikoden and the story is interesting thus far (just got Liu some tattoos, to try and not spoil things)

How are the Battle Voices Zilong? I just took the 'normal' undub route, so none for me. You haven't had any issues with syncing or doubling up on voices?
