I was thinking along the lines of Keako's last post. I agree completely.

Here we go. The announcement we've all been waiting for.
Then the truth of the matter is that SE needs to get better at making puzzles. Because right now it's a perfect metaphor for 'pick a hand' *PUNCH TO THE FACE* 'wrong hand, try again.'
The cost of experimentation should not ever exceed the normal amount of playtime for even the strongest of linkshells. Either the encounter wipes you after a set amount of time (rage timer) or it gives you clues that experimenting within expected game parameters would reveal (hey this mob takes extra damage from xxx when he is xxx and less damage when he does xxx). PW's worst mechanic is that his forms are actually killable before you 'weaken' him, giving the illusion of progress when in reality you're not going to get anywhere after 20 forms changes.
SE has not understood the aforementioned distinction for a long time now. PW and AV both use alliance raping abilities far too early, and far too 'at will.' Even Bahamut doesn't start casting Rapega until the last few percent. Now THAT'S an encounter that uses proper, decipherable game mechanics to ramp up its own difficulty.
Why, you've been watching it for 18 hours straight?
And I'm inclined to agree with Kaeko: Bv2 is probably the perfect HNM fight in terms of difficulty, as well as a feeling of 'epic.' You're pretty much working yourself up to a damned good fight the second you prepare to enter the area, and that's exactly what you get: the enemies feel and look strong, the floating islands lend a sense of spaciousness to the setting, and you've gotta love the music.
Honestly, I'd love to fight AV in Empyreal Paradox, via a pop item or whatever. Fighting one of the baddest HNMs in the middle of sea feels a bit...anti-climactic.
Holy fuck, posting in an epic thread.

Holy fuck, posting in an epic thread.
Really? You used your first real post to do nothing but quote someone else? Good choice there, buddy.
The past two weeks have seen considerable feedback from users regarding the amount of retarded posts in various threads whose topics typically consist of Update Notes (UNT). Discussion has spread significantly throughout forums, and it has become apparent that this is indeed an issue of major unrest in the community.
We would like to assure users that the administration and moderation teams place a high value on their feedback, and the issue has since been taken under serious consideration. Together with the Relic Thread, it has been deemed that the posting techniques for making worthwhile contributions is too difficult. As a result, some users have engaged in posting using unanticipated methods which led to extended threads. It is by no means the desire of the administration team to see users involved in threads that require an excessive amount of time and effort to complete reading and understanding. It was for this reason that previous measures were put into practice which prohibited multiple reposts of the same UNTs. In response to these events, we have determined that further alterations are required to prevent such threads from exceeding a certain predetermined number of pages.
Included in the version update scheduled for early September will be modifications to the degree of difficulty of acquiring posting rights in some forum sections (and associated privileges), acquiring signature and avatar rights (and associated privileges), and emoticon usage. The aim of these changes is to create threads where a decisive outcome may be reached within a shorter number of pages.
The administration and moderation teams would like to take this opportunity to express their commitment to a healthy and wholesome forum environment for users everywhere to enjoy, and to thank them for the continued feedback.
